The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Is here. After months of waiting we finally have our first glance at the long -awaited thin and light addition to this year Galaxy S25 line-up.
While our hands-on Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Review Has a complete overview of the specifications, prices and availability of the telephone, I want to take the time to recognize what I think is the best function of the phone – the design.
To cut the chase, I think the Galaxy S25 Edge is an extremely good looking device-I actually think that it is the most beautiful smartphone from 2025 so far.
For some, that can be a surprise, given that the Galaxy S25 lead actually looks fairly easy. It is impressively thin at just 5.8 mm, but in terms of construction, two plates of glass, titanium rails and an island with dual cameras in the upper left corner of the rear panel are almost everything you get.
However, I think this simplicity is one of the biggest strengths of the phone. While other simple -looking phones such as the iPhone 16th And Google Pixel 9a have been released this year, nobody has formed form and goal as elegantly as the Galaxy S25 Edge.
Here at the TechRadar telephone office we went back and forth over the state of telephone design in 2025, Ongoing polls” penny functionsAnd wonders if the trend of minimalism will prevail.
After all, it is a few years ago that the convergence of flagship telephone design on simple, flat designs – I am sure some people would have trouble telling the difference between the Galaxy S25 and Sony Xperia 1 VIFor example, and the recently launched Google Pixel 9a is perhaps the simplest looking handset we’ve ever seen.
The last rumors suggest that this trend could change. The iPhone 17 Series is heavily tipped to bring radical design changes to the table, and where Apple Goes, the telephone industry usually follows.
In a sense, these latest rumors make me even happier to see that Samsung Has been held on his weapons with the Galaxy S25 Edge.
The central concept of the telephone and what people will look for when they first pick up the thinness and by following its own ultra-minimal design language, Samsung has shown the confidence that this technical competence is sufficient to make the phone stand out.
As our American phones -editor Philip Berne says, The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge “is not a phone that you should experience on paper”. After I went hands-on with the device myself, I agree that there is a certain Your Ne Sais Quoi About it – I thought it was pretty fascinating to hold for the first time, and I think users will appreciate the lack of visual distractions on a device that is built around ergonomics.
After the wobbly launch of one onion 7 and a few months of radio silence on the Galaxy S25 Edge before the launch on 13 May, it is really encouraging to see Samsung trust and competence in launching what really comes down to a fairly simple product.
But even outside the context of the year of Samsung so far and the wider telephone industry, I am a straight-up fan of the way this phone looks.
In particular, the titanium silver color option is an absolute knockout and I let the phone think that the phone was a full metal construction during my first meeting. It is shiny, industrial and oh so stylish.
Regarding the other colors, I appreciate the way in which the modest Titanium Jetblack option is a supplement to the minimum dimensions of the phone, and the remaining Titanium icy color was all my favorite of the Base Galaxy S25 options, so I am happy that it makes the leap.
Ultimately, this is all a matter of personal opinion – we take our list into account in our lists of the Best phones And Best Samsung -PhonesBut aesthetics is certainly more subjective than something like comfort or durability.
With that I want to know what you think – let us know what you are making of the design of the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge in the comments below.
