Frank Bruno told how he thought he was dying after he became seriously ill on a long-distance flight toD: “I feared the worst.”

He woke up in the hospital in Qatar With a drop in his arm and delivered Pa Paul Hunter to his bed.

Unknown to Frank, he was taken out of the plane in a wheelchair after it had landed, extended to a medical center and then cut away by an emergency ambulance.

“If Paul had not been there, I don’t think I would have been here this interview with you.”

Frank and Paul were on one Qatar Airways flight from Heathrow to Doha on March 3.

While they prepared for taking off, Paul took a moment from FrankWho then shared the star online.

They would do a connecting flight from Doha to ThailandWhere four Meet-and-Greet speaking events were drawn up.

But Frank became feverish and disoriented 2½ hours after taking off.

Worried Paul, 59, warned the crew that the now delirious father found of the temperature of four rises and his oxygen levels fell.

They warned doctors at Hamad International Airport.

Shortly after he was taken out of the plane, Frank went to the Al-Wakra hospitalTen miles away – with Paul who feared it was “touch and go”.

He was only allowed to return home after a doctor was pulled out LondonHe passed him fit to fly and accompanied him back.

Frank said to The Sun: “I was excited to go Thailand.

“I felt really good.

“But on the plane I was just agitated and I couldn’t relax.

“I got up to go to the toilet and suddenly I forgot what happened to me.

‘I just darkened’

“I had a fever, but don’t really remember what happened.

“It was crazy.

“I have never had a problem during a flight in my life.

“I just darkened, because the next thing I knew, I woke up and was in bed in the hospital with a drop in my arm.

“Paul stood by my side and I just didn’t know what was going on.

“I wondered:” What the hell do I do here? I should be in Thailand, “you know what I mean?

“I was surrounded by nurses and couldn’t understand a word of what they said.”

Frank spoke with the Frank Bruno Foundation-being Northampton-based charity That offers people who suffer mental health Problems A program of eight weeks including exercises to stimulate their well -being.

He made Complete recovery since his test And looked in excellent condition because of his improved training regime in his home gymnastics and a nearby fitness center where he has a new personal trainer.

During the chat, the beloved hunter, known for his thriving smile, made jokes and made impressions.

But he confessed that he had had trouble staying in a hospital bed for two weeks.

‘My life was at stake’

He had scans on his body and brain, and a lumbar puncture procedure that was excluded Meningitis.

He said: “I had a lot of energy and I got out and walked around.

“And I felt bad because there were many Britons in Thailand who had bought tickets and many involved people who were disappointed.

“I have been to Thailand before and I laugh there.

I feel very good about the Tour. I’m going to take care of myself, I promise you – and keep diving and diving.

“I bought a load of suits the last time I was there, so I was planning to buy a little more – some brightly colored suits, but it never happened.

“Hopefully I get there to see my fans quickly.”

Pa Paul spoke with their insurers Zurich, who made sure that the doctor based in the UK would fly and return with them company class.

Frankly received the VIP treatment to beat him through airport checks.

He said, “I was okay, but just felt a bit weak.”

He spent two more weeks in a private hospital in London. Frank continued: “I was at least able to eat, go to the gym, watch TV and walk around Hyde Park.

“I got very strong again.”

He was encouraged by public support after we unveiled the drama on March 21.

He said, “It was very nice to get cards, calls and messages.”

He is now ready for some of the British dates that had to be rearranged.

And he reassured fans: “I feel good, very, very good – I was training at 5.30 am this morning.”

Frank added: “I feel very good about the Tour.

‘I’m going to Take care of myselfI promise you – and keep diving and diving. ‘
