I work in a dog shelter, it has kept me from owning 11 breeds, one of which is a real monster
A DOG EXPERT said that the time she spent caring for different breeds had left her less and less inclined to get one of her own.
Devon O’Leary has worked in a dog shelter for over three years and has seen first-hand how different breeds behave.
And it seems some are so bad that she doesn’t want them as pets at all.
In the clip she first mentions the Boxers, explaining that they are constantly drooling and full of energy.
The dog expert also said that herding dogs, in any form, are a no-go for her.
She wrote: “Too much for me, I needed to relax too. I won’t lie, a lot of them scare me, they are unpredictable.”
Beagles also got a bad rap from Devon. According to him, they just scream and have way too much energy.
It seemed she described the drawing she liked least as “neurotic.”
She pleaded with people to ‘please stop buying these monsters’, adding that they are expensive to maintain and are people in disguise.
Devon shared that she was once bitten by a Catahoula leopard dog, which left her too traumatized to own one herself.
The dog expert also mentioned Dalmatians, saying she had never had a pleasant experience with them and that the breed was “crazy.”
According to Devon, pit bulls are also fearful because they can be unpredictable.
She also disliked the Pocket Bullies, a crossbreed between a breed and a breed, mainly because of their appearance, adding: ‘Whoever created this creature needs to be put in chains.’
Welsh Terriers were also on the list of naughty dogs. Devon said they are known to bite other dogs.
The dog expert added that French bulldogs also irritated her because of their breathing problems, claiming they were “empty vessels.”
Finally, Devon said she would never get a German Shorthaired Pointer because they are hunting dogs and they don’t fit her lifestyle.
