I worked the most tasteless wedding ever – holy cow you should have been there

A FORMER bartender tells about a wedding he worked at.

They couldn’t believe their eyes when the theme of the event was presented and described it as the ‘most kitsch’ wedding ever.

Reddit user MedicineChess shared the reception disaster in a message.

They explained that the bride had chosen an M&M’s themed wedding and had done everything she could to match that.

“The color palette was rainbow, the prizes in the middle were bags of M&Ms, and her dress had figures sewn on it,” they said.

The bridesmaids’ dresses weren’t much better, they added.

“The bridesmaids were all M&M characters, with dresses as brightly colored as the candies,” they said.

Additionally, they felt the decor reminded them of something that would appear in a candy store.

“The decor consisted of the giant displays of M&M figures that you see in stores,” they said.

“Can you guess what kind of cake it was? That’s right, a giant green M&M.”

The bride’s obsession with sweets stemmed from a desire to honor her deceased family, they explained.

People are furious when they see the mother of the bride’s white wedding dress, saying she has a ‘red wine addiction’ yet to come

“She gave a speech where she said her mother loved collecting M&Ms, and because she had recently passed away, she re-created the theme of her wedding for her mother,” attendees said.

“Actually, all of the wedding decor came from her late mother’s house.

While some may see the theme as a sweet tribute, they still found it a bit odd.

“Is that weird for anyone else? I feel like a gremlin saying her way of remembering her mother was tacky, but holy cow, you should have been there,” they said.

Another ceremony that shocked them quickly got out of hand.

“[The] reception just started. The bridal party was on a party bus from the ceremony to the reception and was completely trashed,” they said.

“Fast forward 45 minutes: One of the groomsmen spilled his drink on another bridesmaid while they were on the dance floor.

“Fast forward 15 seconds, and there’s a pile of people throwing drinks and hands. It took less than five minutes for the police to arrive.”

Less than two hours later, the party was over.

“I remember the bride crying her eyes out as half of her wedding party was taken away in police cars. I also remember her new husband (so drunk [he] (could hardly bear it) and said to her, ‘It’s okay, we’ll just go get them.’

“My boss had to tell them to leave. We had to get BLOOD off the dance floor.”

While many agreed that the second marriage was an unmitigated disaster, some felt that the first marriage could be forgiven.

“[It’s] the kind of cheesy I like to see. It’s not for me but y’all do your thing,” said one commenter.

“Yes I agree! I would have rolled my eyes but when I heard it was in honor of the bride’s late mother my heart broke,” said another.
