The lead singer of Foreigner surprised old fans with a surprise announcement during the season finale of Tuesday from The voice.

After the exciting version of the band condemned Kelly Hansen – who came to the group in 2005 – that he will resign at the microphone after almost two decades.

“After 20 magical years for this band, this will be my last year with a foreigner,” Hansen told the audience. ‘At the end of this summer, a new great voice will sing these songs for you; My friend Luis Maldonado. ‘

Foreigner is currently touring North -America until November, with a stop at Louisville’s Bourbon & Beyond Festival in September, and a series of Headliner shows for 2026 in the Venetian Theater in Las Vegas.
