I’m 35 but people mistake me for a 12 year old – and it’s because of a £3.99 hack
A 35-year-old woman says she is always mistaken for a 12-year-old girl thanks to a £3.99 trick.
Krystn Walmsley said that every time she talks about her wrinkle removal trick, she gets criticized for acting like a child and talking about wrinkles.
“The irony is I’m 35,” she said in a TikTok video.
“And no, it’s not Botox.”
In a second video, Krystn explains that she owes her youthful complexion to silicone scar tissue.
She said they are designed to promote collagen production and that she uses them to tape her face.

Collagen gives your skin structure and elasticity, making wrinkles and fine lines less visible.
Krystn explains that she applies the tape to her face after performing her evening skincare routine.
She added that as part of her skincare routine, she applies castor oil under her eyes, an antioxidant that can help slow the aging process.
Krystn explained that she relaxes the muscles in her forehead and then places a piece of tape horizontally across her forehead.
“You try to prevent the muscles from contracting, you train them so they don’t get overused,” she said.
She added that she puts tape above her mouth to prevent laugh lines, and between her eyebrows to prevent 11 lines.
Krystn said you can also put tape on your neck to prevent a “tech neck,” but she hasn’t tried this yet.
She said she uses the tape three to five times a week and keeps it on all night.
Silicone scar plasters are available from Amazon from just £3.98.
The Importance of Sunscreen in Your Skin Care Routine
Dermatologist and skin care enthusiast Andrea Suarez — better known as Dr. Dray — shared why you should wear sunscreen.
The one thing you can do to make the biggest difference – and this applies to all ages – is to protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasizes.
“The vast majority of external aging is caused by ultraviolet exposure,” she continued, and not by “not using a nice serum or not putting 90 different things on your face every day.”
“If you’re not doing this in your twenties, start now.”
But she said that wearing sunscreen alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and that you don’t stay in the sun for too long.
If you do this throughout your life – and all year round, not just in the summer or on sunny days – “the visible signs of sun-induced skin aging will diminish,” says Andrea.
These are wrinkles, impure pigmentation and sagging skin.
Krystn’s video must have made quite an impression on people, as it has already been viewed more than 1.3 million times on the video platform.
TikTok users rushed to the video’s comments section to share their thoughts.
Someone said, “I use this to tape my mouth and it makes my lips so full.”
Another said: “I just ordered some.
“My neck is completely covered almost every night!”
A third person said: “Your skin is amazing!”
A fourth person added: “This is fantastic information, thanks for your tips.”
