I’m 54 and everyone thinks I’m my daughter’s sister – I love the attention
A GLAM grandma has revealed she is often mistaken for her daughter’s sister, causing a rift between the two.
Andréa Sunshine may be 54, but younger men constantly confuse her with her age, as does her daughter Jannah, 28.
The super-fit grandma, who works out regularly to maintain her slim physique, said: “We don’t necessarily argue, but we do have disagreements because I enjoy the attention,” Andréa, who works as a life coach and fitness influencer in London, told What’s The Jam.
She admitted that she likes the attention from younger men and that she is happy to give them her number, but her daughter is less happy about it.
Andréa adds: “She finds it inappropriate because of the age difference, but it makes me proud of my achievements.
“Sometimes, if someone is attracted to me, he or she will ask for my number or a way to get closer to me.

“She gets very angry about this and says that I am old enough to be their mother.
“Jannah has always protected me, ever since she was very young.
“I remember at a music festival she kept interrupting a conversation I was having with a young man. She said, ‘Did you know she’s my mother?’ and he said, ‘I don’t believe that.’
“I laughed because she was furious about that answer.”
The grandmother claimed that the two were mistaken for sisters all their lives, but that it had only become worse recently.
They are often approached by men asking for a double date with two sisters – which the mother finds “disgusting”.
She said: “I’ve had a few messages in my inbox from men saying they wanted to date both of us.
“It makes me so angry, because the fantasies about two sisters or mother and daughter together are absurd.
“I’m very conservative about it and family is sacred to me – it must be respected.”
Despite the awkward encounters, Andréa and Jannah are very good friends and regularly do everything together.
