I’m 61 and have found the ultimate Tesco airport outfit to wear on holiday
A 61-YEAR-OLD fashion influencer showed off her current obsession with leopard print at Tesco.
Dalyte Serzintiene, known to her followers as Stylish Dalyteshares stylish outfit ideas and styling tips for women aged 60 and over.
Thanks to her keen eye for fashion, her tips can be followed by women of all ages.
Dalyte recently jumped on the leopard print trend after finding a “fantastic set” in the F&F section of her local Tesco.
From iconic Coronation Street barmaid Bet Lynch to Spice Girl Mel B, animal print has been an iconic look on screen, catwalk and high street for decades.
It reared its head again at the end of last year and shows no signs of slowing down now that summer is here.
Leopard print has a rich history and is a catwalk favorite for good reason.
But you don’t have to be a supermodel — or have a supermodel’s bank account — to get in on the trend.
Dalyte’s new leopard print set costs just £28 for both items, or £14 for the top or trousers separately.
“I would say it’s a great summer co-ord that you can wear as a travel outfit to a summer holiday destination,” she tells Fabulous.
“However, you can also style it in different ways, with different tops and bottoms, as you can see in my video.
“I would put a lot of emphasis on good quality and affordability, and I try to emphasize that to my audience as well.
“Style doesn’t have to be expensive.
“I love F&F for this reason.”
Dalyte wears both items as a co-ord, teaming the look with a black shoulder bag and black pointed-toe heels.
Another styling option she shared was pairing the breezy pants with the same accessories and an off-the-shoulder black blouse.
Her third variation was pairing the loose-fitting top with a black maxi skirt, ballerina flats and a wicker-detailed handbag.
“It’s so amazing,” Dalyte added.
“There are so many ways to style it.”
Is supermarket fashion the new high street?
DEPUTY Fashion Editor Abby McHale says:
Supermarkets have really upped their game when it comes to their fashion lines. These days, when you pop in to do your weekly shop, you can also pick up a selection of wallet-friendly, stylish items for the whole family.
Tesco has just announced a 0.7 percent rise in the quarter thanks to ‘strong growth in clothing’ and M&S has earned the title of the number one destination for womenswear on the high street.
Asda’s George clothing line earned the supermarket £1.5m in 2023, 80 per cent of clothes at Sainsbury’s were sold at full price rather than discounted, and sales of Nutmeg at Morrisons have also risen by 2 per cent over the past year.
How is it that supermarket fashion is so successful?
The clothing is not only affordable but also of good quality, and much of the clothing is part of programs such as the Better Cotton Initiative.
They often stick to classic pieces that they know will last for years.
And because they buy so much stock, they can deliver quickly and the volumes are cheaper.
