I’m 86 and wear sheer outfits – trolls say my makeup is awful

An 86-year-old grandmother has revealed she loves glamorous sheer outfits and chokers, and doesn’t care what haters think.

Pat loves showing off her unique style and glamorous looks on TikTok, where her username is @sassygrandmapat.

In a video, the octogenarian wore a long green skirt and a sheer lilac top.

Around her neck she wore a black choker with large silver spikes and several strings of pearls.

She completed her look with bright purple lipstick and large white glasses.

“Oh my god, this is amazing,” Pat said as he admired her outfit.

Pat creased her skirt a little and bent from one hip to the other to show off her look.

“Ooh, slinky dinky,” she said.

In a second video, the grandmother showed off a blue plaid dress, which she wore over a black, long-sleeved mesh top.

She wore a diamond choker around her neck and black stockings on her legs.

To complete her look, she wore bright red lipstick and a leopard print claw clip.

“Oh, she looks sexy today,” Pat said as she posed for the camera.

Pat’s videos will come as a surprise to many as they have all been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

She often receives negative comments from internet trolls.

Someone said, “That dress is a little tight… I wouldn’t wear it, honey….”

Tips for aging well

There are a number of habits you can adopt to help maintain your health and well-being as you age.

Age UK shared the following tips:

  • Do things you enjoy every day, like cooking, meeting friends, or enjoying a good book.
  • Stay hydrated – drink six to eight glasses of water per day
  • Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables to reduce your risk of heart disease and certain cancers, eat beans, legumes, fish, eggs and meat to help your body recover after an injury, starchy carbohydrates for energy, dairy products to keep your bones strong
  • Manage long-term health conditions to prevent them from getting worse or having a greater impact on your health
  • Stop smoking and limit your alcohol consumption to a maximum of 14 units per week
  • Prioritize mental health and seek treatment for it as it can also impact physical health
  • Make sure you sleep well
  • Stay social – and call a friend or loved one if you can’t get out
  • Be physically active to reduce your risk of depression and dementia, heart disease, stroke, Parkinson’s disease and some cancers

However, Pat chooses to ignore the negativity and instead focuses on the positive comments.
