I’m a cold girl and layers are my best friend – how to look warm but chic
SUMMER seems to be finally behind us, and as Britain is hit by a deluge of rain this week, many of us are likely to mourn the loss of sunny days in beer gardens wearing cute dresses.
Fall fashion may seem boring, but there are plenty of ways you can look stylish without getting cold — you don’t have to wear the same grandpa sweater every day.
Fashionista and self-proclaimed ‘cold girlish’ Courtney (@courtney_wears) took to TikTok to reveal her top tips for staying cozy and looking cute.
“This one is for the girls who get really cold in the fall,” she said.
“Layering is your absolute best friend,” the fashion lover revealed, before sharing that she always starts her fall looks with a long-sleeved thermal top.
Courtney recommends buying your thermal tops from Uniqlo, where you can pick them up for £19.90.

Over the top of the long sleeve, Courtney wears a simple white T-shirt.
“I actually get quite a few questions about this T-shirt,” she said, revealing that the Clean Cut Regular T-shirt is from COS and costs £30.
“What I like about this is that the neckband is quite thick so it holds its shape well,” explains Courtney.
She added that she likes to tuck the T-shirt all the way into her jeans for extra warmth.
On top of the T-shirt, Courtney adds a sweater that she also tucks into her jeans.
“If you have sensitive skin and all sweaters are quite itchy, wear a long-sleeved T-shirt underneath because then you won’t feel the itch from the sweater, but you will still get the warmth,” she shared.
Courtney said this technique is perfect for keeping you cozy indoors when you don’t want to turn on the heat.
And when you go outside, she recommends wearing a wool coat and a big, chunky scarf.
“Honestly, you won’t feel the cold through all these layers,” she said.
Here, Fabulous’ fashion editor, Clemmie Fieldsend, says these are the top 5 trends from the hottest catwalk designers for Fall 2024.

LEOPARD PRINT: According to Tagwalk, 75% of the runway this season was leopard print – a vast majority.
It crept its way into last season, but it’s widespread in autumn and all over the high street, whether it’s shoes or floor-sweeping jackets, it’s a must-have trend.
