I’m a famous plastic surgeon and all the stars are afraid of ‘pillow face’
According to a well-known plastic surgeon, some stars are reluctant to have plastic surgery.
From Blac Chyna to Bella Hadid, Dr. Adam J Rubinstein knows exactly what A-listers are changing up—or taking away altogether.
SLEEP ON IT
Miami-based Dr. Rubinstein, who previously starred in Lifetime’s My Killer Body with Michelle K, has revealed how many celebrities sleep on a pillowface.
It seems like many famous faces have had enough of the filler.
“Everyone’s worried that it’s going to be too much, that you’re going to have a pillow face because there’s too much stuffing pumped in and you’re going to look bloated or too full,” he told The US Sun.
“Blac Chyna has dissolved a lot of filler for that reason,” he continued.
One rapper is also withdrawing from plastic surgery.
“Cardi B is a big proponent of getting plastic surgery and she thinks it’s important to do what you want for your body,” he said.
“But lately she’s been resting on her laurels a little bit and doing smaller things,” he added.
“She has moved in the direction of reducing procedures rather than implementing more and more procedures.

“There’s a big trend going on where people are going backwards and celebrities are coming out in droves and saying, ‘I want to go back in the opposite direction.’
He also added Courteney Cox and Nicole Kidman to the list of people who use “less is more” when it comes to filler.
“I think Hollywood focuses more on skin care treatments than other things,” he said.
He has seen both stars and clients turn away from surgical procedures.
“They avoid having things done, or they have things done in a very subtle, more tasteful way, rather than in an over the top or aggressive way,” he said.
“The pendulum has swung from wanting to do specific things to making minimal adjustments, etc.”
BEAUTIFUL WORK
He also shared which stars underwent the most touch-ups to get red carpet ready, including Bella Hadid.
He explained how the model popularized having ‘fox eyes’.
“The shape of the eyebrows is lifted a little bit at the tail, so that’s still something people want to copy,” he said.
She also regretted her nose job when she was 14.
Yet another star gave impetus to a specific procedure in her quest for plastic perfection.
“Not too long ago, Chrissy Teigen had a buccal fat reduction, and that was a trendy procedure for a while,” he said.
This technique is designed to slim the face by removing fat from the cheekbones and jawline while eliminating puffiness.
CLEAR AS BARBIE
If you want to look like Margot Robbie and have a radiant Barbie look, Dr. Rubinstein knows exactly what to do.
“One of the easiest ways to do this is to apply a little bit of Botox around the eyes to lift the corner of your brow,” he says.
“A little lift can brighten up the look in your eyes if you just want to lift your brows a little more,” he continues.
He is also a proponent of a non-surgical procedure called Software, which uses concentrated ultrasound energy in the skin to stimulate collagen production and tighten the skin.
“It’s a great way to put some energy into the forehead skin without any poking or pushing and make the brow look impressive and the eyes look brighter,” he says.
He explained why eyebrows can make a big difference.
“The brow is in balance with the upper eyelids. If your brow is low and heavy, the upper eyelids appear heavier,” he said.
“This can make you look tired. When your eyebrows are raised, you look bright and awake,” he continued.
“And often the eyebrow moves lower as we get older.
“Lifting the brows a little can brighten up the look and make them look more open and fresh.”
He has also passed on this trend of wanting to look ‘natural’ to his clients.
“A lot of people are following the example of celebrities who have come out and said they don’t want plastic surgery,” he said.
