I’m a football WAG and scored £170 worth of Christmas party clothes from H&M, I’m obsessed

A FOOTBALL BAG has praised an “expensive looking” Christmas party clothes collection after spending £170 on the high street.

Ellie Butler is the childhood sweetheart of ex-Celtic midfielder Liam Shaw.

She regularly shares her shopping trips and outfit tips with her army of followers on social media.

Unsurprisingly, her dressing room is full of designer handbags, jewelry and shoes.

But the down-to-earth WAG still likes to hit the high street and her local supermarket to buy fashion.

In a recent one videothe newly engaged blonde beauty has bagged some festive partywear must-haves from H&M.

She gushed: “I’m so excited about this. If I were to attend Christmas parties, these are some of the pieces I would style and create an outfit.

“I’ve gone for quite a mix in this selection. We’ve thrown in some cooler, more casual Christmas party outfits, some extreme ‘hello it’s Christmas’ outfits and a little Christmas jumper too.”

First up, WAG size 10 grabbed a long-sleeved jersey top covered in sparkling diamond embellishments.

And the top, available in sizes XXS to XL, is a steal at just $12.99.

Ellie said: “This is a lovely snack. I think this is perfect if you don’t want full sequins, don’t want to buy an outfit that you can only wear at Christmas. You can use this all year round.

“This is really beautiful, beautiful quality. It’s so thick and soft, a black T-shirt with long sleeves and little diamonds around it.

“It’s beautiful and shaping. I’m still kind of sparkly and I can wear this all year round. I love it. I feel like it’s very flattering too.

“I don’t feel like this was expensive at all and it looks very expensive. I just like the style of it.”

Ellie then paired a pair of £19.99 sequin mini shorts, available in XS to XXL, with a £37.99 black tie belt blazer.

She said: “These shorts are the perfect length for a really short pair of shorts. They cover my bum but just cut to the perfect length. I think they look so expensive.”

And the blonde beauty was equally impressed with the blazer, as she added: “I can still have the oversized look but with a cinched waist.”

Determined to buy a more subdued Christmas jumper, the 6ft tall fashionista managed to find a cute cream jumper with bow detailing worth £24.99, which is also available in dusty pink.

She said: “If you want a Christmas jumper but not covered in Santas, reindeer or gingerbread men, I think this is a great alternative.

“You have a little bow that is still popular at the moment. It is a very nice soft sweater.

“I just think it looks very expensive, but it’s perfect for this time of year. It gives the feeling of Christmas without shouting ‘hello, it’s Christmas.’

“It’s just fun and subtle, but I think it’s really pretty, girly and cute.”

Ellie also praised the £37.99 rhinestone-embellished cardigan as “the most stunning cardigan she has ever seen”.

But her final purchase proved less than successful as she was disappointed by a brown and gold sequined A-line dress worth £37.99.

She sighed, “I feel like if we had something like even a shoelace to tie the waist of this and give it a little bit more structure and a little bit more shape, I think that would be really flattering.

“It’s actually very comfortable, it has a really nice lining on the inside so it’s not itchy at all. I feel like the shape is quite unflattering

“I feel like I’m stuck and a little bit shorter makes all the difference.”

Ellie’s footballer Liam Shaw played just TWICE for Celtic in three years – and never tasted defeat.

His last game in the Hoops was a substitute against St Mirren in the league in December 2021, but he started in the 3-2 Europa League win against Real Betis earlier that same month.

However, it didn’t yield a point and he was loaned out to Motherwell for the second half of his first season in Scotland, followed by spells at Morecambe and Wigan before being released this summer – a year early.

But five weeks after the transfer window closed, he managed to find a new club, and he will be teaming up with a former RANGERS player no less.

Shaw has signed for Charlie Adam at Fleetwood Town until the end of the season.
