I’m a lazy, lazy woman, so my hair care routine is simple: I use 3 drugstore products
A redhead shared her hair care routine that brought her damaged ends back to life.
She fixed her “crunchy and dirty” locks with inexpensive beauty purchases.
Reddit user ManyLintRollers doesn’t want to spend too much time on her hair.
“I am a lazy, lazy woman, so my routine is simple,” she wrote in a after.
The 55-year-old shared how she grew out her locks and repaired the damaged ends she’d suffered from years of heat styling and dyeing her hair.
COLOR CHAOS
For years she constantly dyed her natural red hair to hide the annoying gray hairs.
In 2021, she decided to stop coloring and just let it be ‘gray’.
“Now it’s a mix of dark blonde and white. It looks white in some lights, blonde in others,” she added.
It took her about two years to get her natural hair color back, which she is now so happy with.
The Reddit user described her hair as 1C with “fine, textured strands” that looked like “a frizzy, dry disaster.”

“I’ve had shoulder-length or shorter hair for most of my life. My hair was so fine and easily damaged that the ends were already crunchy and coarse by the time they got past my shoulders,” she said.
Previously, she kept her hair down to her collarbones and cut off the dyed ends, but “once it was 100% virgin hair,” she decided to “grow it long.”
“I’ve always wanted waist-length hair, so now I’m going for it!” she cheered.
She admitted that she knew the heat styling and coloring were the problem.
Now she maintains her texture with a simple, easy-to-follow routine.

The Reddit user says she does this twice a week.
Next, she applies L’Oréal Elvive No More Haircuts Leave-in Conditioner, $8.99, from her ears down.
Finally, she doesn’t use heat styling and lets her hair air dry.
NIGHTLY ROUTINE
“If my ends are feeling dry, I’ll put a little coconut oil on them at night,” she added.
She detangles her hair with a wide-toothed wooden comb and brushes it with a boar bristle brush to distribute the oil.
While it’s common to sleep with silk or satin pillowcases, the Reddit user says she doesn’t because they actually make her sweat.
Instead, she wears her hair in loose braids or a loose bun at night to prevent it from getting tangled.
She added that she gets a lot of protein in her diet and eats mostly unprocessed foods.
