Joshua shared that when making a good first impression, smell can be almost as important as sight.
Therefore, make sure that your home smells as pleasant as possible.
He said, “If you walk into a house for a viewing and it has an unpleasant odor, some people will walk straight back out.”
Joshua recommended keeping the windows open before a viewing to keep your home smelling fresh.
On the day of the viewing, place air fresheners throughout the house.

You can also burn scented candles, air fresheners or incense to make your home extra fragrant.
Joshua added that it can put people off if your home looks messy during a viewing.
This is because it is difficult for potential buyers to see the full potential of the space and imagine what their belongings would be in the home.
He advised tidying up your house as much as possible before viewings and putting things away in cupboards, the attic or the garage.
Joshua told us that it is not only important to keep your house neat and tidy, but also to tidy up your garden before you go to view.
He said: “When people see overgrown grass and bushes on site or in real life, they may think this is too much of a challenge for them.
To remove any doubts they may have, mow the lawn and prune back any overgrown shrubs.
