Furthermore, she claimed that “Karens” would tell her to get a job and assume she wasn’t working.

However, Jenny wanted to tell the truth and showed her reality via social media.

Not only do her children eat tinned meals in the evening, she also wears stained sweatpants and has to buy her make-up from Poundland.

The content creator wrote online: “Many people believe that people like me, who claim Universal Credit, are better off than people who work full time.

“Let me show you how good we really have it and before any of you Karens tell me to get a job, I already have one.”

Jenny then went on to reveal that her children get baked beans and tinned sausages from Asda for dinner, saying sarcastically: “We really push the envelope here, they’re just spoiled all the time, I don’t want to brag but that’s the way it is.”

The mum also revealed that due to her limited budget, she has to use the cheapest toilet roll she can find – the Asda Smart Price toilet paper.

Jenny then showed off her old black sweatpants and laughed: “I’m wearing the best ones from Primark with added bleach stains – one of a kind, you can’t buy them anywhere else, £5.”

And that’s not all, Jenny also filmed outside her house, referring to her empty driveway, as she joked: “I drive a very posh car, in fact it’s Britain’s first invisible car. I don’t usually use it because I don’t want to show off, so we just get the bus.”

Finally, Jenny hit back at the haters who thought she had too much money, as she showed off her old makeup: a mascara and a blusher, both from Poundland.

Someone said, “Those who judge usually live sad lives. You don’t have to justify yourself. You do your best.”

Another added: “Luckily I’m not the only one with sweatpants covered in bleach stains.”

Am I entitled to universal credit?

According to the GOV website, If you have a low income or need help with your living expenses, you may be eligible for Universal Credit.

To be eligible for this scheme you must be resident in the UK, be aged 18 or over (with some exceptions if you are aged between 15 and 17), be under state pension age and have a maximum of £16,000 in cash, savings and investments.

Other circumstances include if you are unemployed or unable to work, for example due to a health condition.

A third commented: “I’ve been in your shoes. It’s tough I know, but you’re doing great.”

While someone else wrote: “It’s a shame you feel you have to justify yourself, UC supplements an income, which I don’t think some people realise, keep up the good work and stay safe.”

Everything you need to know about Universal Credit

But not everyone was so kind, as one hater said: “Bitter! Sad to be.”

Meanwhile, someone else joined in the conversation: “Well, full-time employees pay for everything, no free stuff!!!!”

Jenny responded: “Some people can’t work full time for various reasons, so it’s not fair to criticise that.

“People find it difficult to understand that everyone’s circumstances are different and you have to do what you have to do.”
