Lottie Drynan, who is a size 12, and her best friend Laura Adlington, who is a size 22, prove that body shape and size have no limitations when it comes to looking and feeling good.

The made-to-measure duo proudly showed off three stunning dresses on social media, which are perfect for weddings this summer.

In a clip shared to both Instagram pages, Lottie explained: “Today we have some unreal wedding guest dresses that are making everyone feel amazing.”

The fashion duo first tried a stunning pink and red dress – the Twisted Wunder Ziggy Satin Maxi Dress – from Simply Be.

While Lottie beamed that she “absolutely loved” the £69 dress, Laura explained: “I love it on you, I think you look phenomenal, I love the batwing sleeves, really cute, quirky print.”

The fashionistas were thrilled when they discovered the dress had pockets, with Lottie adding: “Literally the best dress I’ve ever seen in my life, I love it.”

Next one up, the content creators tried on Monsoon’s black Sicily polka dot dress.

They were both very impressed with the £130 dress, with Laura beaming: “I love it. I feel like a movie star.”

Lottie compared the Great British Bake Off star to Audrey Hepburn and praised the “beautiful quality” of the dress.

But Lottie then pointed out that women with a ‘large bust’ might want to go up a size.

The 5 most popular spring dresses on the high street right now

For the last dress of the haul, the influencers showed a beautiful blue floral dress by Hope & Ivy. You can normally buy this at Simply Be, but it is currently out of stock.

Laura shared: “This dress keeps selling out so don’t be mad at us but we just had to show it to you because I think this is one of the most beautiful dresses we’ve ever tried on.”

Which style suits everyone best?

ACCORDING to the fashion pros at Fabulous, there’s a new style of clothing that suits all body shapes.

Low-cut silhouettes with a dropped waist have become hugely popular thanks to the 2000s fashion trend that took the catwalks, social media and of course the high street by storm.

First seen on the runways of luxury brands Molly Goddard and Jil Sander, the style is typically fitted around the hips and pelvic area rather than the waist.

Now that the sun is starting to shine, there are plenty of affordable dresses available that suit different body shapes.

Clemmie Fieldsend, fashion editor, said: “There’s something really stylish about these dresses and I love them.

“The simplicity of the top half combined with the full skirt resembles a tighter, more grown-up tutu.

“I have a short torso, so the dropped waist makes my body look longer, but luckily the long skirt doesn’t make your legs look shorter.

“Plus, it means I can get in on the low-waist trend without having to go completely naked in low-rise jeans.

“I know I’ll be walking around in these shoes all summer long, paired with black sandals and sunglasses, but for now all I need is a blazer over them and some closed-toe shoes and I’m good to go.”

Meanwhile, fashion director Tracey Lea Sayer added: “I remember drop-waist dresses from the ’80s. I loved them then and I still love them now!

“Forty years after they first became popular, I’m not sure they’re still as flattering around my midsection. After two kids and middle age, my waistline is no longer visible.

“A dress like this allows me to hide my waist and still stay trendy this summer.”

Lottie then joined the conversation and described the fit of the dress as “gorgeous”.

Meanwhile, Laura called the dress “perfection” and compared it to a painting.

How to Look Chic on a Budget

Fashion stylist Gemma Rose Breger and beauty journalist Samantha Silver showed how to make your outfits more stylish without spending hundreds of euros.

  1. Never spend money on designer denim: River Island ”always has such a great selection of fashionable jeans that follow the current trends”. The retailer offers a wide range of sizes from UK 6 – UK 18 and three leg lengths – with prices starting at an affordable £25.
  2. There are no rules for jewelry: ”Get something at a flea market or thrift store, score on Vinted and eBay, buy something from the clothing section of your local supermarket when you go shopping or have a look in clothing stores on the high street.”
  3. Don’t forget the second-hand sites: With the rise of second-hand sites like Vinted and Depop, there’s no excuse not to buy – or sell – second-hand clothes. Gemma, for example, managed to get her hands on a pair of chic Chanel sunglasses for just £17.

FASHION FANS RESPOND

‘Same dress, different bodies’ Instagram reel has clearly made an impression on many, as it was only shared 23 hours ago, but quickly received 15,000 likes and over 470 comments.

Fashion fans flocked to the comments to share their thoughts on the stunning dresses.

Someone said, “They’re beautiful!”

Why the Latest Fashion Trends Are Killing Real Women’s Bodies

From butt-hugging micro shorts to revealing blouses, it seems the ‘new’

Clemmie Fieldsend, fashion editor of Fabulous, explains why, despite being a size 12, she struggles to incorporate this season’s latest trends into her wardrobe.

“If I wore the fashion of the season, I would look stupid.

My job as Fashion Editor is to know what’s hot and what’s not, what’s in the stores and what people are wearing. But this season the stores seem to be flooded with looks that I find unwearable — and I’m sure many more “normal” people find that too.

For example, I wouldn’t be caught dead in the low-waisted jeans with exposed love handles that dominate the High Street.

And I recently saw a photo of the gorgeous Sydney Sweeney in a pair — with boyish boxer shorts peeking out of the top, and a matching bandeau crop top. Despite her beauty, I thought the White Lotus star looked silly.

And I asked myself, ‘What kind of reinforcements does she have to hold her breasts up?’

Another thing that irritates me about fashion is that if it’s not open in the front, it is open in the back.

While I’m all for confidence and wearing what you want, I’m not going to stand on a crowded train or go to the office with my belly, bra and boobs on display. I’d hate for someone to not eat their cereal.

At the moment, Zara is the biggest culprit. When the models aren’t crouching uncomfortably on stoves, they’re wearing crocheted flares and sequined spaghetti straps.

I am a 33 year old M&S woman. From underwear to outerwear I love it and check it every week to see what is on trend.

They are really into vests at the moment. Simple and stylish, they have them in cotton, linen and a rainbow of colours.”

At the same time, many Instagram users were particularly impressed by the polka-dot dress.

One fashionista beamed: “OMG the polka dots look amazing on you both, some of the best I’ve ever seen on you.”

A second wrote: “I love seeing these!! The one with the black dots is my favorite.”

While someone else explained: “They both look AMAZING on you, but that spotty number made me GO BAD!”
