So much so that many wedding guests go to great lengths to ensure they look dazzling on the big day, even if it isn’t theirs.

Taking to social media, Mary-Kate revealed the beautiful wedding guest outfit she put together.

While many of us headed to the high street to pick up a dress, Mary Kate decided to have her outfit handmade for the special occasion.

She had her hair in a sophisticated bun and already had her makeup on when she showed off the dress.

The dress was made from a satin fabric in sage green and had a matching fascinator hat.

“I absolutely love this. I feel like the princess from Princess and the Frog,” she said.

The beautiful dress featured a corset and a square neckline with a full neckline small skirt to make her look like a princess.

There were embroidered and sequin leaves cascading down the shoulder straps and the pattern was also on the fascinator that she placed on the center of her head.

Mary-Kate completed the look with a pair of matching heels and a glitzy handbag in the same color.

The stunning look certainly turned heads on the big day, but some felt it was too much considering it wasn’t her wedding.

One person wrote: “You shouldn’t try to trick the bride.”

She then shared a video of the bride walking down the aisle and wrote back, “That wouldn’t work if I tried.”

the clip went viral with over 800,000 views on her TikTok account @marykatexjoness and people were quick to comment on how great she looked.

Another commented: “I’m so curious if traveling girls will wear the custom outfits again in the future or sell them afterwards?”

Traditions in the Gypsy/Traveler communities

Nomadic lifestyle: Traditionally, many travelers lead a nomadic lifestyle, living in caravans and moving frequently. This mobility is a core aspect of their identity and reflects a deep commitment to freedom and independence.

Strong family ties: Family is central to traveler culture. Extended families often live and travel together and form a strong support network. Weddings and social events are important community occasions and strengthen family ties.

Different language: Many travelers speak Shelta, also known as Cant or Gammon, a distinct language that combines elements of Irish, English and other languages. This language serves as a cultural marker and as a means of private communication within the community.

Religious practices: The Traveler community often follows Roman Catholicism, with religious festivals and milestones such as baptisms, communions and weddings being particularly important. However, individual beliefs and practices can vary widely.

Unique parties: Events such as horse fairs and traditional weddings are important social gatherings for travelers. These occasions are characterized by elaborate preparations, vibrant dress and communal participation.

“I sell them and buy new ones with the same money,” she revealed.

“I wish more women would dress like this these days… timeless glamor with a real vintage style. You look beautiful,” wrote a third.

Meanwhile, a fourth said: “You look an absolute vision.”

“Wow… the whole look was stunning. I feel like at a non-traveler wedding this would be considered over the top and seen as an attempt to overshadow the bride. Never understood,” said a fifth.

Someone else added: “If you came to my wedding wearing that I would want you in EVERY PHOTO.”
