I’m Almost 60, But Everyone Says I Look 30 – The 5 Rules I Swear By
A WOMAN who makes people believe she’s in her 30s when she’s actually 60 has revealed her best-kept skincare secrets.
Morgan Schick, a former model and makeup artist, explained on social media how she looks decades younger without spending a lot of money.
It all comes down to five tips, she explained, that help her look natural and healthy as she ages.
Her first piece of advice might not be what you want to hear, but she swears it works wonders: exercise.
Morgan says she incorporates it into her daily life to stay fit, and it doesn’t have to be boring exercises at the gym.
She recommended yoga, fitness classes, tennis and other sports, and regular weight lifting.
In addition to exercise, Morgan swears by avoiding seed oils in her diet to look and feel her best.
Skincare fans may be shocked by her third tip, but the former model says she never uses a cleanser to wash her face in the morning, only at night.
“Wash it at night and put all your products on it, a vitamin C, a retinol, hydration, all that. But only rinse it off in the morning,” she said.
Staying on the beauty topic, Morgan says she doesn’t use tinted moisturizer or liquid foundation.
“I know what she said sounds weird,” she added, adding that she will still use a solid stick foundation and concealer on areas where she wants extra coverage.
Finally, Morgan shared her “most important” tip: “Be responsible for your own joy.”
She explained that she “wakes up every day and chooses joy,” which helps her live a timeless and thriving life.
People rushed to the comments of her viral video, stunned by her youthful appearance.
“You look amazing!” You look so happy, inside and out,” someone said.
“And all this while always wearing sunscreen,” wrote someone else.
And a third commented: “You look so much younger than 60, you energy is amazing.”
The Importance of Sunscreen in Your Skin Care Routine
Dermatologist and skin care enthusiast Andrea Suarez — better known as Dr. Dray — shared why you should wear sunscreen.
The one thing you can do to make the biggest difference – and this applies to all ages – is to protect your skin from the sun, Andrea emphasizes.
“The vast majority of external aging is caused by ultraviolet exposure,” she continued, and not by “not using a nice serum or not putting 90 different things on your face every day.”
“If you’re not doing this in your twenties, start now.”
But she said that wearing sunscreen alone doesn’t go far enough. Andrea urged that you also wear sun-protective clothing, such as wide-brimmed hats and long sleeves, and that you don’t stay in the sun for too long.
If you do this throughout your life – and all year round, not just in the summer or on sunny days – “the visible signs of sun-induced skin aging will diminish,” says Andrea.
These are wrinkles, impure pigmentation and sagging skin.
