I’m begging strangers to buy my baby supplies since we’re in a homeless shelter
A WOMAN has taken to social media to beg strangers to help her buy baby supplies for her 12-week-old baby.
The young mother said that she and her baby are currently homeless and are doing everything they can to get out of the situation.
In a clip, she was seen looking after a house, but she admitted it wasn’t hers.
While she and her daughter were staying at a homeless shelter, she decided to sign up for a pet sitting website so they could get out every now and then.
Instead of being stuck in the shelter, she took care of dogs all over the place for people on vacation so she could stay in nicer places with her baby, for free.
She said: Currently homeless, try to work smarter, not harder.

To help with her daily living expenses, she also set up a GoFundMe campaign and posted a wish list on Amazon so people could send her items.
The mother added: “GoFundMe has been linked. P.O. Box will follow shortly.
“I have received so many messages of support and have read some of your stories as well. Don’t let the hate overshadow all the love that has been given to us! The night is always darkest before the dawn.”
The Amazon wish list included items for herself, her daughter, and the household, such as nursing bras, hairbrushes, toiletries, diapers, muslin diapers, and a play mat.
Generous strangers bought most of the items for her daughter and also treated the mother to some items.
The mother also took to social media to thank the strangers who made life easier for her and her baby.
In another clip she said: “Baby girl now has her essentials including this sleeping bag. No more waking up to check she’s safe thank you.”
The mother shared the post on her TikTok account @3punto47 where she has amassed over 5,900 followers and 398,000 likes.
People quickly responded and supported the mother by asking where they could send their donations.
Someone wrote: “I wish you the best of luck.”
Emergency Council Accommodation
In England, emergency council support is provided to individuals or families who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. The process usually involves several steps and the details can vary between local councils. However, the general process is as follows:
- If you are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless, you should contact your local council’s housing department as soon as possible. Most councils have dedicated housing options or homelessness prevention teams. The council will carry out an initial assessment to determine your situation. This will usually involve an interview where you will be asked to provide information about your circumstances, including why you are homeless, your housing history and any specific needs you may have.
- The council will check whether you are eligible for assistance. This includes verifying your immigration status and whether you have a local connection to the area, for example by living, working or having family in the area.
- The council will determine whether you have a ‘priority need’ for housing. Priority need categories typically include:, Families with dependent children., Pregnant women., People who are vulnerable due to age, physical or mental health conditions or other special reasons., People made homeless by emergency situations such as fire or flood.
- If you are deemed to have a priority need, the council must provide you with temporary accommodation while they investigate your case further. This is often referred to as temporary or emergency accommodation. This could be in a hostel, bed and breakfast or other types of temporary accommodation.
Another commented: “Create a wish list on Amazon. You can then ask people if you can use their address when you pet sit. You can change the address on Amazon if you move and make the addresses private!”
“I’m in this situation right now too so sending you all my love,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Can you make an Amazon wishlist of the supplies you need? I know some people would rather have that for you than give you money.”
“Yes, absolutely understandable! I will update as soon as I have a shipping address,” the mother replied.
“You are so strong, mom,” claimed a fifth.
Someone else added: “You’re doing great, Mom! Keep working hard, you can do this!!”
