I’m furious after neighbors left a note on my car asking about my ‘parking plans’
A MAN is furious after coming home to find a note on his car.
Dan admitted that as a teenager he could have imagined receiving such a letter on his windshield.
But now that he is a “40-year-old man,” the situation is more unusual.
He took to TikTok to video after he returned to his car after being away for a few days and found the handwritten letter.
“When I was 18, did I get notes on my car?” he said.
“Yes, because I parked in weird places.

“Of course I did. I’m 40, almost 40, late 30s, if you like.
“And I have a note on my car. I parked it in a logical place.
“I parked in a nice spot in the city, because my car is my pride and joy.
“I worked very, very hard to get back on my feet and to buy a car.
“But it’s just a normal road. It’s a small, just a normal road, not even a dead end.”
He then held up the note, which read: “We are concerned about cars sitting in front of our house for so long.
“Feel free to call number two to explain your plans or the reason for your parking concerns.
“If we know you, we can help you.
“Thank you.”
Dan responded angrily, “Wendy and Martin, let me tell you something. I don’t need your help.
“I’ve just been to Scotland and I don’t need to tell you what my plans are.”
He added that he had seen a woman looking out of the window at him and that he would have liked to talk to her if she had come out of her house.
Top 5 Reasons Why Neighbors Fight
A survey by Compare the Market revealed the top reason why British neighbours argue
- Broken Fences – At the top of the board were broken fences and who was responsible for fixing them?
- Parking: One of the leading causes of neighborhood disputes, with 54.1 percent of people having problems with people parking in front of their home, parking space or driveway
- Trees – complaints about a neighbour’s tree damaging your garden path were also common, with almost half of respondents finding this frustrating.
- Trash Can Wars – Outdoor trash can etiquette continues to spark some of the most heated debates between neighbors
- Nosy neighbors – some people have their eyes and ears ready to take a peek and cause problems for others
“I still laughed, even though I thought people who put notes on cars were idiots, right?” he said.
“If you put a note on a car, you’re a loser. You have nothing better to do!”
He continued: “Here’s some advice.
Don’t put notes on cars, especially if you have a driveway that can hold about four cars.
“You don’t have to worry about it. You don’t have to worry about it.
“I’m not bothering anyone. I’ve paid my road tax.
“If you pay your car tax, park where you want. Don’t worry about what other people think.
“You can park wherever you want, as long as you don’t block the driveway.
“I don’t understand why people decide for themselves that they own part of the road.”
Than then decided to knock on number two’s door and ask why the note had been left there.
When he did, the woman who answered the door explained that she was “concerned” that the car had been sitting there for so long and that she thought he might be a “car dealer.”
After he resolved it, Dan left, saying, “She’s clearly just really curious.
“If people want to park in front of the house, you have to knock on the door.
“You don’t have to knock on the door.”
Finally, Dan said, “Unless you own the road, you have no right to put flyers on people’s cars.
“You can’t just assume that everyone who parks in front of your house is a car dealer.
“And even if someone is a car dealer, he can park wherever he wants, as long as he pays road tax. It’s a free road.
“It’s a free country, and these kinds of things irritate me.”
Dan also said he will continue to park there when he leaves because “at least” he knows she will “keep an eye on” his car.
