I’m not going to spend a lot of money on 2 anti-aging products and a cheap one is great for bags under the eyes
A beauty expert shares why she doesn’t want to spend a lot of money on self-care.
She shared the two anti-aging products she uses to save money in her regimen and recommended an inexpensive product to combat puffiness in the face.
Fiona Ross launched The Aesthetics Club in 2018, a clinic in the UK offering treatments and beauty methods used by celebrities such as Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Aniston.
Ross shared the best skin care tips that work for different budgets.
BUDGET BEAUTY
“I’m a big believer in not spending a ton of money on your cleanser and moisturizer. There are some really nice, budget-friendly products out there that won’t break the bank,” she said.
She would rather see people spend money on ‘corrective products’ or ‘treatment products’.
They specifically target problems such as acne, redness and dry skin.
“If you use products that specifically target those issues, you can mix them in with the less expensive options,” she explains.
When it comes to ‘pampering at home’, Ross prefers to go the ‘affordable’ route.
She has a tonsil peel done at home every two weeks.

According to a London medical spa Sainta chemical peel that uses a solution of mandelic acid to exfoliate the top layer of skin.
It “helps improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and treat hyperpigmentation, acne and other skin conditions.”
Ross also uses an “underrated” tool about once or twice a week.
“I love using gua sha. Don’t underestimate it if your face feels a little puffy,” she said.
A favorite of Kendall Jenner, this technique is a traditional Chinese medicine method that involves scraping the skin with a smooth object to relieve hypertension and improve circulation.
GOLDEN RULES
Ross also revealed what consumers should and shouldn’t spend their hard-earned money on when it comes to creams, serums and cleansers.
Ultimately, Fiona has “golden rules” for anyone who wants to improve or protect their skin. And wake up “fresh, rested and youthful.”
“Double cleanse your skin, apply SPF, refrigerate your eye care products, and apply the rest of the products to the back of your hands,” she said.
Fiona also stressed the importance of having a consistent morning and evening routine.
She starts the day with a cleansing product with an exfoliating effect.

“I would always recommend double cleansing at night because some makeup and SPF can be really hard to get off,” she said.
“Cleansing is very important because it is a day off for you. It will reduce congestion, blackheads and pimples.”
To combat aging, she advised avoiding the sun, smoking, sugar and stress as much as possible.
“Sun and smoking are the two main causes, but sugar and stress can also cause many skin problems,” she adds.
“For younger, oily skin, I would completely eliminate oil from my skincare routine.”
She advised using oil-free products and opting for cleansers that counteract oil production.
Specifically look for products with BHAs and AHAs, because “that will help,” Ross says.
“When someone’s skin can’t produce water, it actually produces more oil. Sometimes just having enough hydration is enough,” she explains.
PRICE PLAN
If you’re willing to spend a little extra money, Ross recommends more expensive treatments like a Lyma laser, a six-step Oxylight facial, and Ameela, a salmon sperm facial.
The Aesthetics Club is one of the few businesses in Scotland to offer Ameela, also known as salmon sperm facials. It is an injectable gel made from polynucleotide derived from salmon DNA.
Jennifer Aniston and Kim Kardashian are both raving about the results.
The anti-aging method hydrates, firms and contours the skin, while reducing free radical damage beneath the skin.
