She enthusiastically shared that thanks to her homemade hair care products, she doesn’t have to spend money on expensive products.

The woman shared several ideas for cutting the cost of self-care in a post on Reddit’s Beauty forum, which has more than 982,000 members.

She wrote in response to a Redditor who asked for “beauty tips for broke b***h.”

HER HERO

She recommended mixing two natural ingredients with an affordable hair oil to create a mask that improves hair health.

“Don’t be afraid to put on a mask,” she said, writing under the handle Spicy Sicilian.

“I’m not going to spend 50 euros on hair masks.

“Hask sells them in small packages for about $4, but what else is there?

“I use amla oil, eggs and honey. Makes my hair so soft and shiny, curly girl approved too.”

EXCELLENT OIL

Amla hair oil can be purchased at Walmart along with eggs and honey.

The product costs $8.49 and is a blend of mineral and vegetable oils that prevents damage, premature graying and hair loss.

According to the brand, the oil is most effective when massaged into the scalp and left on overnight or for at least 30 minutes before rinsing.

Don’t underestimate the ‘tough’ method to stimulate hair growth, says expert – there are some home remedies too

Walmart customers gave the oil a 4.1 out of 5 star rating and shared their honest opinions in reviews.

One customer praised the scent, while another said her hair grew to her waist.

“I absolutely love this product. It makes my and my daughter’s hair so shiny,” said a third.

“The moisture really stays in your hair even after it’s washed out, making your hair look gorgeous. I would repurchase 10x.”

Amla fruits come from the Amalaki tree which is native to India, according to Healthline.

Scientific research supports the claim that it can improve hair appearance and growth.

There is a risk of using too much Amla oil, but researchers say the ideal concentration is a 7.5 percent solution with water.

MORE METHODS

The Redditor also received a lot of appreciation in the thread for sharing skin care tips.

She suggested replacing the moisturizer with olive oil, avocado oil, or coconut oil.

She prefers to use castor oil for the skin under her eyes and oil pulling for whitening her teeth.

“Do your own manicure, apply honey and milk and let it soak for 20 minutes,” she said.

Push back your cuticles and then apply some Sally Hansen Insta dry nail polish.

“Those cheap polishes work so well for me! Then apply a clear strengthening coat and cuticle oil.

“As for pedicures, just use warm water, coconut oil, and maybe some salt if you have it.”

She said that a color conditioner can extend the time between colorings on colored hair.

Smelling good doesn’t have to be expensive, as she uses vanilla and strawberry extracts on her pulse points instead of perfume.

“After you shower, put on some shea butter oil, lotion and some Vaseline body gel,” she said.

“Be a bad guy on a budget!!”
