But it’s not always easy.

The 30-year-old, who is 6ft 1in tall and weighs 375lbs, recently filmed herself visiting two restaurants when she couldn’t fit into one of the chairs and ended up getting stuck.

She posted the “discomforts” on TikTok, with one video receiving 1.8 million views and more than 27,000 likes.

“People stare at me or even come up to me, sometimes they ask me to take pictures like I’m a celebrity,” the size 26 model said What is there to do?

“I think they’re just shocked to see such a tall, confident woman living her life boldly — even if I’m stuck in a box.

“As a tall, plus-size woman, I always feel a little nervous when I go out, expecting everything to be tight or a little snug.

“That’s just the reality of my size.

“When I saw both the chair and the stand, I wasn’t really shocked – it’s something I expected.”

In the clip, Alex films herself from different angles as she tries to sit on the restaurant seat.

The model can sit down, but cannot move any further and ends up on the edge.

However, she believes that much more needs to be done in society to accommodate ‘bigger’ people or people with disabilities.

She added: “I wouldn’t say I’m angry or upset – it’s more of an inconvenience.

“Being big and tall means the world isn’t always a good fit for people my size.

“So I just feel irritated.

“I wish places were more plus size friendly and there was more space for people with disabilities.

“This includes larger stands and chairs, but also general accessibility for people who do not fit into the average picture.

“It’s easy to assume that someone needs to lose weight or change themselves; but my question is, if you’re in the service industry, why don’t you try to [make things] as comfortable as possible for a diverse group of people?

“I understand that this perspective can be controversial.

“I often get negative reactions, people say I have to lose weight to fit in.

“But I don’t plan on doing that right now.

“I wish the seats were bigger, but I’ve come to the conclusion that many seats won’t be.

“I know my audience will laugh when they see a big, confident woman in these kinds of situations.

“You are allowed to take up space and experience happiness, even if you don’t fit into the typical picture.

“Sometimes you just have to go out there and make the most of your life.

“I always have a smile on my face and enjoy it because I don’t let my happiness depend on my size.”
