In the run-up to Christmas, the festivities were pulled from shelves for good, leaving shoppers outraged
Celebrations chocolates have been pulled from shelves across Australia, leaving shoppers disappointed in the run-up to Christmas.
The popular chocolate boxes containing bite-sized Mar Bars, Snickers, Twix and other family favorites are a popular holiday staple.
But according to parent company Mars-Wrigley, delivering the box of treats to Australians has become too expensive and a logistical nightmare.
“Our CELEBRATIONS® products are imported from Europe and like many Australian companies importing products from overseas, we are experiencing increasing cost pressures and supply issues,” a spokesperson told FEMAIL.
The chocolate boxes are already missing from the shelves of major supermarkets and are marked online as ‘currently unavailable’.
Foodie Russ Stuart, who does reviews under the name Russian eatswas disappointed when he heard the news.
He said an insider informed him that the celebrations had been halted “at least for this year.”
“To be honest, this really upsets me,” he said.

“Are Celebrations dead?”
Earlier this year, the foodie placed Celebrations first in its ranking of ‘best Christmas chocolate’.
His followers were devastated by the news.
“It won’t be a celebration without Christmas,” one lamented.
‘Say it’s not true Russ. Normally you are my outlet for reviews and news about good food. You ruined my Christmas wasn’t on the bingo card this year,’ said another.
Enterprising buyers who stocked the products are taking advantage of the situation.
“I saw a package on Ebay for $193,” said one fan.
However, they are available on Amazon for an eye-watering $99.
The Mars-Wrigley spokesperson told FEMAIL that the company is working out ways to make the chocolates available again in the future.
‘We know that CELEBRATIONS® is a beloved brand that plays a role in many family gatherings, events and of course celebrations.
‘That is why we are currently investigating the possibilities of reintroducing CELEBRATIONS® in 2025. We hope to share positive news with Australian consumers in the coming months,” they said.
This confirmed some speculations from Russ fans.
‘Best marketing game of the year. You’ll see them come back on December 1st,” one man said.
