“We don’t want to speak to the media,” said the heavily tattooed son in a fat British accent. “We appreciate privacy because of this.”

His stepmother later told Daily Mail Australia in a phone call: “I have nothing to say.”

“The combined life insurance was more than $ 1 million,” he said. “And there was an attempted fraud, a claim was made.

Davidson was well prepared for his move to Thailand for a year in the Covid Pandemie and placed his plans on the Hua Hin expats Facebook page.

By October the following year Davidson asked for recommendations for a part -time gardener and a full -time girl for work near the Hua Hin Hospital.

A month later he showed an interest in buying a house between the beach and one of the main roads of Hua Hin.

“I am specifically looking for houses under market value that may have been on the market for a while and probably need some sort of renovation,” he wrote online.

Davidson refined his desired location to the south of Hua Hin Airport and no more than 250 meters from the sea. He established a maximum budget of 40 million Baht (around $ 1.9 million).

“I don’t mind like a house or much less expensive houses,” he wrote.

‘If your country sells, I clearly have enough money left to build something within my budget. A tent on 40,000 land will not rent. ‘

While Davidson stated that he was planning to rent the property he wanted to buy, the description of what he wanted to buy where he eventually lived.

That place is between a main road and a beach near the Hua Hin hospital in the Bor Fai district south of the airport.

The house has a swimming pool and jacuzzi and was last offered for sale for around 10 million baht ($ 470,000), but after recent renovations may be worth 14 million ($ 660,000).

A local broker explained that foreigners can buy a house in Thailand, but they cannot buy a country. Sales prices for real estate are not publicly available.

Business records mentions Davidson as director with a Thai National with 51 percent of the shares and the other 49 percent in the hands of an Australian.

Davidson seems to have lived a carefree existence in his retreat on the beach. He once stated a Facebook plea: “Does anyone know where you can buy wild caught salmon – not grown?”

In June 2022, Davidson gave an online review of a restaurant and the ‘absolutely delicious’ menu that he ‘went through an evening at the same time’.

“A particularly well -filled bar and an excellent price -quality ratio,” he wrote. “Friendly service and warm atmosphere.”

In December of that year, almost two years until the day after the death of his first wife, Davidson remarried and shouted grinning next to his beautiful young bride while posing with fists in cash as they roast each other.

The groom was dressed in a kilt while he was filmed in the street, surrounded by the family of his new wife for the wedding.

Hamish and his two sisters do not appear in one of the photos or video posted on social media from the parties that went until late in the night.

Davidson had settled in Thailand for the second time in the married life, where foreigners can get a pension visa if they are 50 years or older and not work.

The visa can be extended every year if the holder has 800,000 baht in the bank or can prove that they earn at least 65,000 baht per month at a source such as a pension paid by their home country.

Donaldson spent a lot of his time in Hua Hin with pickleball with his wife.

He was also active in the Hua Hin Veterans Group and helped organize Anzac Day and Armistice Day meetings in a bar that is popular with expats.

English-language media outlet surf radio noted this week on his Facebook page that Davidson was accused of murder in Australia.

Davidson’s Maat Walter Meier responded to the post of Surf Radio by encouraging those who hurry to go in the opinion to show caution.
