Incredible Moment Rock Legend Bon Jovi Convinces Woman Not to Jump Off Bridge During Music Video Shoot in Nashville
Rock icon Jon Bon Jovi was caught on camera convincing a woman to step off a bridge in Nashville.
The Livin’ on a Prayer singer stopped to coax the unknown woman back over the railing of the John Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge.
According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, the incident happened Tuesday night while the 62-year-old was filming a music video on the sidewalk.
The clip, which was shared by local police, shows Bon Jovi approaching the woman with a member of his entourage.
He then leans over the railing and crawls closer to the woman, heroically lifting her over the railing and embracing her.

Officers responded to the scene and Nashville Police Chief John Drake praised the star’s actions, saying, “We all need to make sure we keep each other safe.”
A social media post from police said: “Shout out to Jon Bon Jovi and his team for helping a woman in Nashville on the Seigenthaler Pedestrian Bridge Tuesday night.
‘Bon Jovi helped her climb off the edge of the Cumberland River to safety.’
Bon Jovi has sold more than 120 million records worldwide with the band he named after, which he founded in 1983.
Earlier this year, he told People magazine that he was slowly returning to performing live after undergoing rare throat surgery in June 2022.
At the opening of an exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame for his band, he was asked if he had regained his singing skills since the release of the group’s latest album, Forever, which came out on June 7.
“I think so,” Jon told the outlet. Of stepping back on stage to perform in front of a live audience, he added, “We performed in Nashville last night and everything was really good.”
“So step by step I’m getting back to work,” the Grammy winner continued.

Speaking to the outlet, the singer shared his initial reaction to the potential loss of his voice. “People had to talk me off the edge, because you’re like, ‘I didn’t do anything wrong! What’s wrong?'” he said; seen in 1985
In the summer of 2022, Bon Jovi underwent vocal cord medialization (also called thyroplasty).
In May, the artist spoke candidly about the vocal surgery during a cover story for AARP’s June/July 2024 issue.
Speaking to the media, the singer shared his initial reaction to the potential loss of his voice.
“People had to talk me back from the brink because you’re like, ‘I didn’t do anything wrong! What is wrong?'” he said.
For Jovi, lip-synching and auto-tune were not options when performing live. The star said, “I’d rather get hit by a bus on the freeway.”
Jon considered several options when fellow performer Shania Twain recommended her to her doctor, Robert Sataloff, after she herself developed vocal problems.
Sataloff told AARP: “Jon has worked harder and more diligently throughout his career than most fans could ever imagine.”
However, he explained that the star’s thinning vocal cords were not caused by an injury or other illness, but simply by aging. “It affects all of us eventually.”
