Detroit Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams could face a hefty fine from the NFL for his celebration after a 61-yard touchdown against the Washington Commanders.

In a whirlwind first half in Detroit, Williams performed a somersault in the end zone before appearing to thrust his hips into the ground in celebration as his teammates ran toward him.

Cameras quickly cut away from Williams during the broadcast, but the two seconds that went on air were all it took to make it a talking point.

It was a pivotal moment for the Lions, who were losing 24-13 at the time, and they would go on to lose 45-31 in a huge upset. And as much as the fans enjoyed the celebration, they all said Williams faces a huge fine after the game ends.

“Jameson Williams won't get a check for four years after this celebration,” said one fan.

Another wrote: 'Jameson Williams doesn't care about a fine from the NFL.'

“How to Lose 300,000 in 2 Seconds,” read another comment, while popular account ML Football said Williams “may get the biggest fine in NFL history.”

Ominously for Williams, the NFL account tweeted a clip of the touchdown, but cut it before his questionable celebration could be seen.

But shortly after celebrating, the 23-year-old Williams walked into the locker room frustrated.

A pass from quarterback Jared Goff aimed at Williams was intercepted in the end zone, with Williams open for a second touchdown of the game.

The touchdown, remarkably, was Williams' only contribution with the ball in the first half of a breathtaking game in which Washington took a surprising 31-21 lead at halftime.

'Wow! This is crazy! I mean, this is video games right here,” a surprised Tom Brady said on the Fox broadcast after Williams scored his touchdown.

The Lions entered the game as favorites after clinching the NFC's No. 1 seed and enjoyed a bye week last weekend as the Commanders defeated the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to advance in the postseason.

But the first half was unlike anything NFL fans had seen all season. Rookie Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was imperious, Lions QB Jared Goff threw two interceptions, including a pick six.

“This Commanders Lions game is so epic, man,” one viewer wrote on X. “This is great playoff football.

“I'm still not sure Washington can keep up, but man, this game is so much fun.”
