Eric Trump has caught the attention of conspiracy theorists after they spotted him making a specific hand gesture during his father's inauguration.
Eric, 41, placed his hands in an inverted triangular formation that eagle-eyed viewers claim resembles the symbol for the Freemasons or the mysterious 'Illuminati'.
They also highlighted how Eric's wife Lara Trump appeared to mumble something to him before abruptly changing his position.
The incident in question occurred as the couple stood in line with President Donald Trump's other children in the Capitol Rotunda, where the ceremony was held Monday.
Eric took a seat on the right side of the stage where his father was sworn in when he made the gesture.
His wife then tapped him on the arm to make him shuffle and said something inaudible, causing him to drop his hands.
“I'm really quite disappointed to see this hand sign from Eric Trump,” someone wrote on X.

“This hand gesture is absolutely intentional,” another added.
'She [Lara] told him to put his hands down so she was fully aware of what he was doing and tried to make sure he didn't seem so flashy,” one person wrote.
“It's pretty much the sign of the Illuminati and all rich people do this, no matter what political area they're in.”
“Square and compass Masonic signal,” said another.
However, many pointed out that Eric's gesture was innocent.
“My dad used to do that and he was in no way Illuminati or Freemason,” one person wrote.
“Omg, stop it. I do this a lot, it doesn't mean anything unless you give it some meaning,” another added.
'This is also used to calm yourself down, but it is not always symbolism. I sometimes touch my fingers to help concentrate,” one person wrote.
Others suggested that the symbol could be a reference to the idea of being the 'point of the spear' in terms of leading a group.
Conspiracy theorists thought they caught wife Lara Trump telling him to stop making this gesture with his hands, but it looked like she was simply asking him to shuffle over.

The Freemasons are a social and charitable organization dating back to the Middle Ages.
The male-only fraternity uses secret rituals and passwords and has been linked to several conspiracy theories over the years.
The Freemasons use a symbol consisting of a square and a compass and a letter G for God.
“The square and compass are considered the tools of the architect and builder, used to teach the lessons of the symbolic lodge,” according to Freemason's website.
George Washington was a Freemason and joined the Lodge in Fredericksburg, Virginia, at the age of 20.
The so-called Illuminati is a name given to a number of historical groups, some real and some fictional, with different goals and claims of 'enlightenment'.
In modern times, the Illuminati have become a byword for corruption among the elites.
The likes of President Trump, Beyoncé and Jay-Z are among those who have been wrongly accused of involvement with the group.
