Donald Trump took the oath of office in the heart of Washington DC on Monday, surrounded by political royalty and the biggest players in the technology sector.
But despite the excitement surrounding the historic moment, Lauren Sanchez's main focus remained on her billionaire fiancé Jeff Bezos.
The former reporter, 55, clung to the Amazon CEO, 61, in the capital as the country's most powerful people shuffled around her, including Mark Zuckerberg and his wife Priscilla Chan, who were positioned right next to Sanchez.
However, the seating placement proved awkward, as Sanchez could be seen actively avoiding eye contact with the fellow tech woman during a tense moment caught on camera.
Meanwhile, Chan was spotted hanging out with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was chatting while mingling with a handful of other political figures.
Sánchez seemed less inclined to socialize, opting instead to stay by Bezos' side.
At one point, she looked up at the ceiling of the Capitol before nudging Bezos and directing his attention somewhere upward as she gripped his arm tightly.
She was later spotted having a friendly chat with Zuckerberg, with some viewers suggesting the tech guru was a little too interested in Sanchez's outfit choice, as some accused him of staring at her chest “repeatedly.”

Chan did not participate in the friendly conversation between Sanchez and her husband, but turned her back on the couple as she spoke with others.
It is unclear whether the two women were able to talk or not, but their lack of interaction could be due to the seating arrangements in the capital.
Chan and Sanchez were both separated by Zuckerberg, and Sanchez seemed to keep her conversation limited to the people immediately next to her, meaning Zuckerberg and Bezos.
As expected from the glamorous Sanchez, the brunette bombshell didn't hold back when it came to her wardrobe.
The mother-of-three wore a white pantsuit with nothing under her blazer except a lacy white bra.
The form-fitting lingerie showed off Sanchez's cleavage, and the blazer was only held together by one button.
The daring clothing choice caused a social media frenzy, with many people taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share their thoughts on the daring ensemble.
“Good grief, Lauren Sanchez. Put them away for a day,” one disgusted user urged.

Bezos and Sanchez have maintained extraordinary secrecy surrounding their upcoming nuptials since he proposed to board his $500 million superyacht in May 2023.
Sanchez announced on the Today Show last month that she had purchased her wedding dress, but no precise plans have been made public.
Sanchez told Vogue last November that she had not started planning at that time.
“We're still thinking about the wedding,” she told the magazine. 'Will it be big? Will it be abroad? We don't know that yet.'
When asked if he wanted to be involved in the plans, Bezos reportedly laughed and said, “Oh God, no. Do I look so stupid?'
Today Show hosts Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie took a chance when Sanchez sat down for an interview on November 20 of this year and cheekily asked about her wedding plans.
“So you asked?” Sánchez said, a little irritated.
She said she was “really excited about it,” adding that she was “thinking about the dress.”
“I have to say, I do have a Pinterest, I'm just like any other bride, so I do have a Pinterest board,” the billionaire's fiancée admitted.
Bezos and Sanchez have been publicly dating since January 2019.
