Peter Dutton promises minimum jail sentences for anti-Semitic acts

Anti-Semitic vandals will face mandatory minimum prison sentences under the Coalition's crackdown on hate crimes, Opposition Leader Peter Dutton has promised.

A series of deeply disturbing anti-Semitic attacks in recent days has prompted the coalition to announce a series of tough new measures.

These include a promise to introduce minimum sentences for various offences, in addition to creating a new Commonwealth offense for threatening places of worship.
