Barron Trump's appearance at his father's inauguration left many social media users and commentators excited about his political future.
The 18-year-old freshman at New York University played a more mature role in the events this time, as he was only 10 years old when Trump first entered the White House in 2017.
Barron was close to his father when he was sworn in, and next to the tech titans Trump has welcomed into his vision for his second term.
“There have been rumblings that Barron could be next in line for Trump's political dynasty,” Executive Politics Editor Kelly Laco said on the latest episode of Welcome to Magaland: Inside Trump's second 100 Days.
“He was right behind his father… we might see a little more of Barron and a more mature and more political role later.”
Trump acknowledged Barron, who is 6 feet tall, during one of his remarks on Monday, saying his youngest son has helped him reach a younger audience.
“I have a very tall son,” Trump said at the Capital One Arena, as the crowd erupted in cheers and Barron raised his hands in triumph, unlike the more reserved Barron the country is used to.
'He knew the youth mood. We won the youth vote by 36 points. He said, “Dad, you have to go out and do this [podcast] or that one,” Trump said.

'We've done a lot. He respects them all, he understood them very well.'
Social media users and fans of Donald Trump quickly noticed Barron's more mature presence at the inauguration and speculated about his political future.
“There's something about Barron Trump,” said one X user. “This boy will be president one day.”
“Barron Trump is a real gangsta,” said another X user. 'I have his father's grin. I love that child.'
“Donald Trump is a natural,” a third commenter added. 'Totally own the moment.'
Barron was also praised as a “true gentleman” for shaking hands with Joe Biden and Kamala Harris at his father's inauguration.
The gesture of peace has led fans to praise the New York University freshman as “a gentleman” and “well-behaved.”

After being sworn in at a ceremony surrounded by tech titans and media moguls, Trump promised a “new golden age of America.”
“The decline is over,” he told about 600 allies, dignitaries and family members at the U.S. Capitol.
He used his inaugural address to balance the idea of an optimistic new dawn with his long-standing accusations that he was the target of a weaponized justice system and to promise a sweeping crackdown on illegal immigration.
As arctic temperatures pushed Washington, DC, outside, Trump was surrounded by Washington's political establishment, tech titans and MAGA allies for his inauguration at the Capitol.
It provided a visual illustration of how the former political outsider has conquered Washington in an extraordinary political comeback, becoming only the second president in history to win non-consecutive terms.
