A 13-year-old girl was raped after being forced into a car by a stranger in Hackney when police released an e-fit photo of a man during their investigation.
The attack took place between 4pm and 5pm on Wednesday October 2, 2024 at Banister House on Homerton High Street.
It is alleged the man, who did not know the girl, forced her into his car on Banister Road West and took her to an apartment building where he raped her.
The girl is still being supported by specialist officers.
Chief Inspector Ralph Coates, who is leading the investigation, said: 'This is a very serious allegation and will understandably cause concern in the local community. I would like to reassure you that our investigation is continuing at a rapid pace.
'We have carried out extensive investigations, including CCTV, and spoken at length to the victim who suffered a horrific ordeal. We continue to support her.
'We now need the public's help as part of our urgent investigation to identify this man.

The suspect, believed to be in his mid-thirties, is said to have left the scene in a white Audi.
