Supporters of President Donald Trump ridiculed Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cartez for suggesting billionaire Elon Musk be deported for what she described as a “Nazi salute” during inauguration ceremonies on Monday.
Ocasio-Cortez cited Rep. Mike Collins of Georgia for suggesting that Episcopal Bishop Mariann Budde should be “deported” over her sermon in which he lectured Trump on the need to allow illegal immigrants to remain in the United States.
“What about the man who gave the Nazi salute behind the presidential seal?” she asked, choosing to frame Musk as the main political villain.
Trump supporters called out Ocasio-Cortez for “fake outrage” over Musk's gesture, in which he punched his chest and said, “My heart goes out to you” before extending his arm to the crowd.
The left predictably accused Musk of giving a “Nazi salute” to Trump supporters.
“Stop the fake outrage, you insincere bastard,” social media profile Jayroo wrote on X.
“What a dangerous and destructive story you are trying to tell,” 1stInspect wrote about X. “You know this is not what was going on with Elon. Try to be more constructive and bring unity and not division. This is why you are not liked.”

Ocasio-Cortez doubled down on her criticism of a video posted to her Instagram account.
“I don't care what Elon Musk does behind a presidential seal. In this country we hate Nazis, something that is fundamental,” she said, adding: “We defeat the allies and we defeat the Nazis.”
“I'm still not rocking with anyone sympathetic to the Nazis, and I will until I'm five feet under,” she said.
She criticized people for “defending” actions like the Nazi salute rather than condemning them.
'I'm not with the Nazis. How about that?' she concluded.
Others share videos on social media of AOC repeatedly holding out her arm at a diagonal during a political rally, accusing her of doing the same.
'AOC is literally Hitler. I'm shaking,” social media user Sara Rose sarcastically wrote on X.
Ocasio-Cortez has tried to rally disappointed leftists following the re-election and inauguration of President Donald Trump.
She condemned Trump for allowing billionaires like Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos to take prominent seats at the inauguration while other elected officials were “kicked to the curb.”
“They were unelected billionaires,” she said. “That's the story of the Trump administration in a nutshell: You're getting ripped off.”
Ocasio-Cortez opposed Trump's attempt to sign an executive order abolishing birthright citizenship, arguing it was unconstitutional.
'We don't have to listen to him. We don't have to take this seriously, this is a joke,” she said.
“Don't let these people's bulls get you down,” she concluded.
She also lashed out at conservative activist 'LibsOfTikTok' for criticizing her for describing Trump as a rapist.
“F-you. Cry more,” she said.
