- The Vodafone network is closed
- Thousands left without cover
A massive Vodafone outage has left customers across Australia unable to use data, send messages or receive alerts.
Down Detector, which gives users real-time information about the status of various services, reported a spike in problems around 11:30 a.m. on Thursday.
'SOS Only' was the only thing that thousands of Vodafone users across all states could see on their phones.
A Vodafone spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia that customers who continue to experience connectivity issues will need to power cycle their device to restore services.
“We experienced a technical issue this afternoon that caused very brief disruption to voice and data services for some of our Vodafone mobile customers,” the spokesperson said.
“Our technical teams quickly identified the issue and implemented a solution to restore services. They will continue to monitor our activities to maintain the services.
“We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused our customers and will continue to monitor the situation.”
There's more to come.
