Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines used a roof-mounted sprinkler system to protect their Los Angeles from the LA fires.

Kennedy, 71, and Hines, 59, live among Hollywood's elite in a stunning $6.6 million mansion in Brentwood, one of the most exclusive enclaves in the city.

After wildfires decimated the City of Angels, the blazes reached the glitzy area in the Santa Monica Mountains.

However, the couple's home remains intact, thanks to their sprinkler system that was caught on camera flooding the exterior with water.

Images from the system show a water mist coming from the roof, hitting a tree next to the building and fanning out over the main entrance.

Aerial footage also shows firefighters battling the blazes dropping red fire retardant on the inferno at the back of their home.

Kennedy, who is tipped to be Trump's health secretary, bought the Mandeville Canyon Road home in July 2021 for an eye-watering $6.6 million.

Kennedy purchased the home on Mandeville Canyon Road in July 2021 for an eye-watering $6.6 million.

The stunning 5,900 sq ft Mediterranean-style residence features six bedrooms and seven bathrooms and is described as a “resort-inspired home.”

According to the property listing, the interior has an “abundance of natural light that creates an ethereal feeling.”

It features an open plan layout with double-height ceilings and large windows.

There is a formal dining room with beamed ceilings where Kennedy and Hines can entertain celebrity guests, a family room, a game room, a breakfast nook and multiple fireplaces.

Outside, there are lush gardens and a 'serene' pool with a waterfall, spa and Tiki bar.

Hines, who starred in Curb Your Enthusiasm, sold her previous home, also in Mandeville Canyon, to Chelsea Handler in October 2021 for $5.9 million.

In addition to the couple, DailyMail.com revealed last year that their neighbors included Dr. Dre, talent manager Scooter Braun and Arnold Schwarzenegger are.

Other nearby celebrities included Gwyneth Paltrow, filmmaker Oliver Stone and Sarah Michelle Gellar and her husband Freddie Prinze Jr.

Although Kennedy and Hines managed to save their home, the fires have destroyed more than 14,000 buildings and killed at least 28 people since they broke out on January 7.

Containment of the Palisades Fire has now reached 72 percent, while the separate Eaton Fire was at 95 percent.

However, the fear of fire is not yet over for residents: two new fires threaten to once again terrorize the city that is still recovering.

The fast-spreading Hughes Fire, which started Wednesday, is exploding in the hills near Santa Clarita, a rural enclave about 40 miles northwest of Hollywood.

A separate fire has also broken out in the posh resort of Laguna, burning multimillion-dollar mansions.

Tens of thousands of people were evacuated from their homes in Castaic, near Santa Clarita, to escape the Hughes fire.

The California fires have caused a total of at least $28 billion in insured damages and probably slightly more in uninsured damages.
