A man has been arrested after jumping a fence to gain entry to Donald Trump's exclusive Mar-a-Lago resort.

Bijan Arceo, a 32-year-old former real estate agent, was taken into custody on Wednesday, just two days after Trump's inauguration in Washington DC

He is charged with an offense with the intention to commit a criminal offense.

Palm Beach police officers arrived at the Mar-a-Lago Club to assist U.S. Secret Service agents who found Arceo at the resort.

It is understood Arceo climbed over the wall at the north service gate on South Ocean Boulevard.

The club is littered with signs reading 'No Trespassing'.

Arceo was arrested at the scene.

“While the incident had no impact on our protective activities, we take these matters very seriously,” a spokesperson told Fox.

“This arrest is being handled at the local level and we remain grateful to the City of Palm Beach Police Department for their quick response and partnership.”

According to a Zillow profile, Arceo was a real estate agent in Colorado in 2018, NBC Miami reports.

Trump has been busy in Washington signing executive orders at the White House during his first few days in office and was not present during the security breach.

He is not the first person to be arrested for attempted burglary at Mar-a-Lago.

In November, Chinese national Zijie Li, 39, of Los Angeles, was arrested after making multiple attempts to get past security over the past five months.

Li had repeatedly claimed he wanted to speak to Trump.

He was placed under the Baker Act, which allows someone to be involuntarily held and receive mental health treatment if he or she is considered a threat to themselves or others.

He was later released and given a bond that prevents him from coming within 500 feet of Trump or Mar-a-Lago.

But just eight days later, he tried his luck again and tried to pass through the Mar-a-Lago checkpoint as a passenger in a shared car.

His bond has been set at $100,000 for the latest incident.
