Robert Saleh was welcomed by one of his former Jets players while he officially landed a new job on Friday evening.
Saleh, which was illuminated last fall of his duties as the head coach of the jets, was announced as the new defense coordinator of the 49 people – the same role he held in San Francisco from 2017-2020.
And New York Cornerback Saus Gardner seemed happy for his former coach as he responded to the move.
“Sheesh,” he wrote to X in response to the news, together with three Vuuremojis.
Gardner flourished under the defensive Saleh when he won defensive Rookie of the year and started his career with a few First-Team All-Pro selections.
Saleh came to the Jets in 2021 and coached the team for three plus seasons until he was fired after a week 5 loss for the Vikings this season.

From 2022-23, the defense of the jets First arranged in passing yards allowed per game and recruiting opponent per game under Saleh, as the 49 people noted.

In the meantime, the old franchise of Saleh has also settled on a new hierarchy, while Gang Green hired the former Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn to become their head coach.
Reporter Josina Anderson later said that Denver Broncos assistant GM Darren Mougey would also come to the Jets if their new general director (former GM Joe Douglas was fired on November 19).
