A teenage girl drowned after she was found in a river near a campsite.
The body of the 12-year-old girl was found on Saturday around 10 a.m. in the Broken River near Benalla, in the northwest of Victoria.
Emergency services, including an air ambulance that left the Bendendo Hospital, were called on the spot, but the girl died later.
A report will be drawn up for the coroner.
A spokeswoman for the Victoria Police told Daily Mail Australia that the girl's death is not considered suspicious.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted ambulance Victoria for further comments.
