A woman has been charged with murder over the death of a nine-year-old boy.
The boy was found dead at a property on Charles Street in Kirwan in Townsville, Far North Queensland, at 7.05pm on Saturday.
A 24-year-old woman was arrested at the scene.
Queensland police claim the woman and boy knew each other.
The woman will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court on January 27.
The investigation continues and police are appealing for anyone with relevant information to contact them.
