A man and a woman are currently treated for 'life -threatening injuries' after two 'stabbing' in eastern Hull.
A 35-year-old man was found today around 2 a.m. with a stab wound in his stomach and head injury in the area of Buckingham Street, near Holderness Road.
At 3 am a 33-year-old woman was found in the nearby Rosmead Street with a stab wound in her neck. The Humberside police said that the incidents seem to be related.
In a statement published today, a police spokesperson said: 'Agents are present and Cordons were placed after reports about two stabbing in Hull in the early hours of this morning (Saturday, January 25).
'Shortly after 2 a.m., agents were called upon to visit the intersection between Buckingham Street and Brecon Street after a man was reportedly stabbed.
“The man was taken to the hospital for life -threatening injuries before treatment, after he had sustained a stab wound in his stomach and serious head injury.
'Shortly after 3 am, agents received another phone call to Rosmead Street with messages that a woman had also sustained stab wounds in her neck. The woman was also taken to the hospital for treatment for life -threatening injuries. “
Detective inspector Mark Skelton of our team of serious crime said: 'We think these incidents are related and I would like to provide the insurance that the people are probably acquaintances of each other. There is no greater risk for the public.

'The investigation remains underway, including door-to-door examination and searching camera surveillance to determine the full circumstances and to identify those involved. A 35-year-old man and a 33-year-old woman are still in the hospital for treatment of injuries that are currently assumed to be life threatening.
'The public can expect an increase in the police and there are several scene guards present in Barnsley Street, Buckingham Street and Rosmead Street while our investigation continues and crime scene investigators conduct their research.
