Donald Trump has been causing Democrats enormous headaches just days into his second administration, so they decided to hire some psychiatrists.
By launching numerous executive orders that reverse years of Biden-era policies, the president has started to destroy key Democrats' promises such as student loan forgiveness and loose immigration restrictions.
With the deportation of illegal immigrants in full swing, some Democrats have struggled this week to cope with the onslaught of MAGA-backed actions being taken.
That's why some Democrats in Congress have hired some psychologists to help them deal with Trump-related changes.
“Emotion regulation” specialist Hal Movius moderated a retreat for Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, Maryland Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin revealed.
University of Virginia psychologist Jim Coan, who also specializes in emotional regulation, was also there to help Democrats.
“They're social psychologists, and all they were talking about was communication and authoritarian speech styles in the Trump era,” Raskin said of the therapy sessions.
“We were basically talking about communication styles during the Trump era,” the Democrat first told Punchbowl News.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-M.D., who sparred with Trump during his impeachment, brought in psychologists to help Democrats learn how to deal with the president
“They're social psychologists, and all they were talking about was communication and authoritarian speaking styles in the Trump era,” Raskin said of the therapy sessions
Raskin is the top Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee and will be tasked with challenging Republicans and Trump on legal and Justice Department issues.
He was also the lead impeachment manager who argued against Trump after his second impeachment resulting from the January 6 riot.
Before going to Congress, Raskin was a professor of constitutional education. Trained in the legal affairs of government, he will try to thwart his rival Jim Jordan, the Republican chairman of the Judiciary Committee.
“This is only President Trump's first week in office, and he has already wracked the brains of the Democrats in the House of Representatives again. They're already calling their psychiatrists,” Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, said of the therapy sessions.
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer also ripped Raskin for having “Trump Derangement Syndrome.”
“It is no surprise that Jamie Raskin has called on professional psychologists to provide therapy to Democrats suffering from the incurable disease of Trump Derangement Syndrome (TDS) in the wake of all these victories.”
“However, no amount of therapy will help Jamie Raskin and other Democrats suffering from TDS as they face the Trump administration's endless victories that benefit the American people.”
“Jamie Raskin has had a tough few months,” he said. “The American people rejected what Jamie Raskin and other Democrats sold, President Trump won in a landslide, and Jamie Raskin was even preemptively pardoned by Joe Biden — a move that Biden's Justice Department says involves an admission of guilt.”

Democrats like Raskin have also had to contend with Trump's pardon of the Jan. 6 protesters he so thoroughly denounced.
After overseeing Trump's impeachment “insurrection,” Raskin openly feuded with the president, claiming he was “trying to block the constitutional transfer of power.”
He called it a “mega offense of coup d'état and rebellion against constitutional democracy.”
