As a familiar face and voice-on the BBC with more than 25 years of service under her belt, Katya Adler is generally seen as a Shoo-in to replace Mishal Husain on the Today's Today program.
Two new contenders, however, have now emerged as possible candidates to participate in the flagship news show: the main at BBC Dharshini David and the Westminster -based political correspondent Leila Nathoo.
Both have been tested this month who held the prestigious news program this month, although BBC sources say that bosses are not in a hurry to make the appointment.
