In the Night Stalker film (1972), we were introduced to Carl Kolchak (Darren McGavin), a tough reporter who investigates murders in Las Vegas that he suspects are the work of a vampire.

The film was a success, as was its sequel, The Night Strangler, about an immortal killer with superhuman strength.

On this basis, a TV series was created, Kolchak: The Night Stalker, featuring various supernatural phenomena. However, it was canceled in 1975 after just one series. There was no appetite for horror at the time, and McGavin didn't enjoy working on TV.

Chris Carter, creator of The X-Files, has explicitly cited Kolchak: The Night Stalker as a major influence. Carter has said that he was afraid of Kolchak as a child and that the darkness of the show informed The X-Files.

In two episodes of The X-Files, McGavin appeared as retired FBI agent Arthur Dales, the “Father of the X-Files.” This was a direct tribute to Kolchak.

Question Are the breasts of robins also available in a color other than red?

Our robin (Erithacus rubecula) is a brave bird best known for its red-orange breast, plump appearance and small stature. The color of their feathers can vary from pale yellow to brighter red shades.

The further east you travel, the paler it becomes, so that the breast of the Russian subspecies Erithacus rubecula tataricus is almost yellow in color.

There is an Australian bird called the pink robin. Superficially it resembles our robin, the male of which has a vibrant pink breast. However, it is part of the Petroicidae family.
