The liberal broadcaster has largely focused on the human tragedy of the raids, despite violent criminals and a pedophile also seized.
In one news item, CNN showed a woman from Illinois in tears and said that after 30 years her grandfather had been deported in North America.
“They opened the door because they thought one of us might have been in trouble or that something happened to us,” said the interviewee, Yelitza Marquina van Waukegan.
“I am already deeply saddened and I can't imagine small children whose families have been broken as a result.”
Local citizen journalist Chicago Contrarian was one of those who accused CNN of bias and said they had not given the other side of the story about the deportations under New Border Czar Tom Homan.
“Since Tom Homan arrived in Chicago, Ice Agents have arrested six sex offenders, three gang members of TREN de Aragua (TDA) and convicted two illegal immigrants for murder,” wrote the local Chicago.

Others placed screenshots of stories about deportations aimed at notorious MS-13 gang members and other dangerous criminals.
“CNN will omit gangs, drug dealers and violent perpetrators and illegal immigrants burned like” migrants, “a man said on X.
“There is a clear difference between legal and illegal immigration. All illegal immigrants must be deported. '

President Trump has aggressively anticipated his promise to return the largest massive deportation in American history to power in his first week, and has so far arrested more than 2,000 people.
On Friday alone, ICE authorities 445 held illegal migrants with criminal registers, with another 148 migrants without rap sheets that were also taken in custody for deportation.
CNN crashed because he focused on the stories of families who have been torn apart by the policy, rather than the performance against criminals.
Trump's immigration occurring has been received with pushback from other countries, including Colombia, who refused to accept military flights that transport deportees.

Dr. Phil, a clinical psychologist who is best known for organizing the popular TV talk show during the day Dr. Phil, accompanied Homan and ICE in defending Trump's deportation effort when the performance was approaching the end of the first week.

Raids were also performed in Denver, Colorado; Austin, Texas; San Jose, California; Los Angeles, California; San Antonio, Texas; Miami, Florida; Detroit, Michigan, Omaha, Nebraska; Phoenix, Arizona; Atlanta, Georgia and New Jersey, according to NewsNation.
In total there were 956 migrants on Sunday alone, after the arrest of nearly 1,300 people on Thursday.
