The Dallas Cowboys are expected to call Matt Eberflus as their new attacking coordinator after an interview today, according to reports.
Jerry Jones led to fan Fury when he decided Brian Schottenheimer as the new head coach of the team, and there is now work to decide to decide his assistants.
According to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, the former bear head coach Eberflus will be the new OC, which indicates a return to the franchise for the 54-year-old.
Eberflus used to be the Linebackers coach of the team from 2011 to 2015 under Jason Garrett before he took over the duties of the game coordinator until 2017.
He was then hired by the Colts as their defensive coordinator from 2018 to 2021, before he had his first – and so far only – head coaching – job in Chicago.
In three seasons responsible for De Beren, the team went 3-14, 7-10 and was 4-8 when he was fired at the end of November.

The general consensus of fans seemed to be positive, in which many believed that, although he struggled as a head coach, he was an impressive DC with the Colts.
Dallas supporters remained furious last week when Schottenheimer got the reins as head coach, after two seasons as OC.
On the defensive side of the ball, coach Kevin Koger of Falcons Tight Ends is one of the favorites to take over Scottenheimer as OC.
The cowboys went 7-10 in the 2024 season and separated with Mike McCarthy at the end, where the team finished third behind the Eagles and commanders in a tough NFC East.
