Sir Sadiq Khan has sworn London to rid of shady rickshaw drivers who 'light up' tourists from thousands of pounds and cause destruction on the roads by peeling loud music.

As chairman of Transport for London (TFL), Sir Sadiq gave a six -week public consultation on new rules for the carts – who have been flooded with complaints of ignorant tourists whose plans to visit the city were finished in a disaster.

The mayor of London has promised to introduce new regulations to the capital to eliminate these ramps, and to tackle traffic jams and antisocial behavior.

Rickshawas, officially known as pedicabs, are the only form of non -regulated public transport in the city and have no uniform mechanism to control prices.

From their cunning drivers it is said that they light up innocent tourists by relocating the decimal point on credit card machines or by calculating them twice for the short trips in their flashy pedicabs.

As part of the consultation, TFL proposed that Rickshaw rates should be calculated on the basis of how long a journey takes, the distance traveled or a zonal structure as used for traveling on the tube.

The transport body is also considering a license for one year for drivers who are subject to criminal background controls, mandatory vehicle inspections and proof of insurance.

It will also consider whether licenses should contain licenses at certain times of the day for playing loud music, with a decibel cap.

Will Norman, De Walking and Cycling Commissioner Van London, the Telegraph said that TFL had no choice but to regulate the disruptive rickshaw programs.

He said, “Pedicabs must be a fun and sustainable way to see London, but without regulations, some drivers behave unsafe or antisocial and charge the excessive prices.”

The city is hosted for a number of rickshaw companies and many of the vehicles come decorated with different clocks and bells while beating the area with playing pop music.

In recent years, TFL has been flooded with complaints from vulnerable tourists who have been hunted by these unscrupulous drivers, claiming that she was scammed from an amazing £ 1,300.

One rumbled to TFL: 'I was scammed after I took transport from Westminster Abbey to Buckingham Palace.

'We drove a few blocks that went to the palace and something broke. We left the rickshaw and I paid the seller and asked for a receipt. He said, “No.”

Another victim who was the victim of a scam wrote: 'I took a Rickshaw from Mayfair to High Street Kensington and I was charged £ 336 instead of £ 33.60. I believe it was intentional. '

A couple who marked a rickshaw driver to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's Cinderella in the West End was quoted for a ride.
