The selection of Donald Trump to Leiden the transport department, former Fox News personality and MTV 'Real World' star Sean Duffy, has been confirmed by the Senate.
The father of nine is married to Fox-Gastheer Rachel Campos-Duffy, whom he met while filming the Road Rules of the reality series: All Stars' in 1998.
“Roadway Safety Hits close to home for me because my wife survived a deadly front-on car accident that deeply reformed her life,” Duffy revealed during his confirmation hearing.
A former Republican Congressman in Wisconsin, Duffy, 53, received two -part support in the Senate, who unanimously voted to push his nomination before he took advantage of 77 – 22.
Wisconsin -Democrat Senator Tammy Baldwin, who introduced Duffy during his confirmation hearing, gave the Trump choice of glowing reviews and said he “is the right person for this job.”
“Sean has been a huge and beloved civil servant,” Trump praised the former Fox-Gastheer when announcing his nomination.
The president has noticed the experience of Duffy that represents the interests of rural residents and his economic and legal expertise.
Duffy will replace Pete Buttigieg as secretary of the Department of Transportation.

The chosen president announced on Monday that he had chosen Duffy, a nine-nine-nine father who appeared on MTV series De Real World in the nineties, to take the place filled by Pete Buttigiegieg
His appointment to the role comes at a busy moment for the department.
The Ministry of Transport (DOT) recently tackled the consequences of Hurricane Helene and Milton.
The agency is responsible for rebuilding down bridges, roads and other critical transport infrastructure in North Carolina and Georgia, where the storms held out entire communities.
Dot now also has to do with the total destruction of Californian communities that are affected by fatal forest fires.
After serving five terms in the house before he lobbyed later, Duffy knows his way in Washington and can be expected to trust his old connections from the congress to help him go smoothly to leadership in Trump's cabinet.
Duffy won for the first time after the appearance on MTV's 'The Real World: Boston', the sixth season of the popular series of the network.
He also appeared in 2002 on 'Real World/Road Rules Challenge: Battle of the Seasons'.

He is the second FOX News -star who is placed in a cabinet position after the former host of host Pete Hegseeth was confirmed by the Senate during the weekend.
Hegseeth and Campos-Duffy both Cohost have showed the network in the same weekend morning show.
Duffy is also a well -known 'lumberjack' – and he is a triple winner of the Lumberjack World Championship.
