An influencer of social media who is accused of poisoning her baby to get online fame and Fortuin has received bail.
The 34-year-old woman, who cannot be called for legal reasons, appeared on Wednesday via Videolink in Brisbane Magistrates Court and sat at a table with a long blue shirt with her arms crossed.
Magistrate Stephen Courtney had understood the decision of the Bailing Application and said it was a complex matter on Tuesday.
The Queensland police claim that the woman gave her a year old child unauthorized recipe and pharmacy medicines between August and October 2024 to grow her social media profile and win $ 60,000 in donations.
She was charged on January 16 with five counts of managing GIF with the intention of harming, three counts of preparation to commit crimes with dangerous things and one count each of torture, making exploitation of children and fraud.
Public Prosecutor Jack Scott said the court that the baby was admitted to the hospital for Tuberus Sclerosecomplex (TSC), a genetic disorder that results in benign tumors in several organs.
He said the baby carbamazepine was prescribed – a medicine for epilepsy – but doctors later stopped the medication.
Between August and October 2024, the baby suffered important medical episodes with attacks, unconsciousness such as being in a coma and a cardiac arrest.
Scott said that the baby underwent two high-risk operations because the child's attacks were not typical and did not respond to medication.

Images recorded on October 3, 2024, the woman is said to have had a video camera moved that the baby watched during a brain activity test 'to prevent detection' of her actions.
Mr. Scott said the images showed her that the child covered with a blanket before being attached to the child with the nasogastric tube.
Tests in the days that followed found various medicines that were not prescribed to the child, including carbamazepine and diazepam at 'demonstrably dangerous levels'.
Scott claimed that the different medicines that the baby gave to the baby for two and a half months brought the health of the child at direct risk and possibly led to unnecessary operation.
Mr. Courtney said on Wednesday that the police business was strong and the insulting serious.
If the woman was convicted, the punishment would be several years, including the time served, the magistrate said.
“It is not the law that only because there is a strong crown case and because I think imprisonment will flow if a person is convicted, that person will or will remain in custody,” said Mr. Courtney.
When granting bail, Mr. Courtney said that the prosecutor's argument that the woman was a risk for the security of the victim was dependent on the fact that she had physical access.
He said it was unlikely that she would disrupt the witnesses and there was no 'specificization' of the community threats.
The magistrate granted bail on the conditions that she should not approach within 100 meters of the baby, and her only contact with the baby would be on audiovisual means and be supervised by the safety of children

Mr. Courtney estimated that a trial for the case would be away for at least two years, unless the woman argued guilty, the case would continue faster.
“I struggled with this,” he said when granting bail.
“It is one of the difficult parts of my work that decides whether someone's freedom is robbed if they are still convicted of that violation.”
He granted a bail about the circumstances she should not approach within 100 meters of the child, and her only contact with the baby would be on audiovisual means and under the supervision of children's safety.
Mr. Courtney asked the woman if she understood the bail conditions and she replied that she did.
