Temple University Student Tyler Sabapathy, 18, sustained a brain injury at the fall on 15th and Marktstraten in Center City Philadelphia and was then placed on livelihood support before he died in the Jefferson Hospital, according to ABC 6.

The president of Temple University, John Fry, mourned for the student's death in a statement published last night.

'It is with deep sorrow that we write to share news about the death of first -year student Tyler Sabathy. Tyler sustained critical injuries during the weekend and eventually died this afternoon.

'The loss of a promising 18-year-old man and Tyler is both tragic and traumatic. There are no words that can understand, and the entire temple community mourns for his death, “wrote Fry.

'Our hearts go to Tyler's family, friends, classmates and everyone who knew him and Van Hoden.

According to the University President's statement, Sabapathy was a resident of Toronto and a 'thriving student' at the Temple's College of Public Health in the main subject in physical exercise and sports science.

Fry also called the student a 'accomplished gymnast' who had more than 120 medals in provincial, regional and international competitions.

“He undoubtedly had a bright future for him, and it is so tragic that we will not be able to see how he would have left his mark on the world,” the university president added.

The tragedy took place in the midst of raw parties after the NFC Championship victory of the Eagles on Sunday.

The devastating accident was recorded on the camera, with a video that showed the horrible moment that the student lost his grip on the post and cherished in a crowd of football fans.

His fall came after Mayor Cherelle Parker begged fans to not climb light posts, as is usual after a victory.

“You don't want to be at a festive moment, you know, let a tragedy take place,” Mayor Cherelle Parker warned and added: “Please don't climb the posts.”

Video on social media showed another fan who fell out of a light pole after trying to grab a flag that tore.

However, the man seemed to be unharmed when the crowd was seen in cheers as soon as he got up.

The police are also investigating a number of other injuries, including a stab and attacks.

The celebrations took a frightening turn when a gun was fired recklessly in the air after the victory of the Eagles over the Washington commanders.

Mayhem broke out after Saquon Barkley had inspired the Eagles for a 55-23 victory that ensured that they encountered the chiefs of Kansas City in the super bowl of next month.

Fans in honor of the NFC championship victory clashed with riot police after a car was plowed into a large group of people, while one supporter outside of Lincoln Financial Field was stabbed.

Tramayne Davis-Blockson, 34, is accused of having taken a 25-year-old man after a fight.

The fans of Eagles were also warned by the police in New Orleans not to scale light posts before Super Bowl Lix.

The spokesperson for the New Orleans police, Barry Fletcher, has given a warning about the climbing of Straatstraat in the French neighborhood, and although he was called Eagles supporters by name, he directed his answer to a newspaper in Philadelphia.

'As for climbing street light posts, that is not only illegal [trespassing] But is unsafe because many of the street light samples in the French neighborhood are quite old, “Fletcher said in an e -mail on the Philadelphia Inquirer.

“Climbing to climb the light post to overthrow.”

A French quarter hotel is known for lubricating a pole near Bourbon Street.

But it remains unclear whether the rest of the light posts of the city will also be coated in Vaseline or other lubricants.
