A number of herb and herbal sill sold to IGAs have been recalled because of the fears that they could contain 'strange matter'.
The products are on the shelves of independent retailers, including Iga in New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and West -Australia.
Rex Imports Australia PTY LTD recalls six of the products from 'Cape Herb and Spice Grinders'.
They include sweet and smoky BBQ herbs, Atlantic sea salt, extra daring peppercorn, chili and garlic herbs, Himalayas pink salt and salt and pepper.
Food standards Australia New Zealand fear that the products can contain plastic.
“Food products that contain plastic can cause injury if they are consumed,” the authority warned.
'Consumers should not eat this product.
'Consumers must reduce the product (s) to the place of purchase for a full refund.
